Todd and Julie Chrisley Have ‘High’ 7-Figure Price Tag for TV Show, Producer Says
Todd and Julie Chrisley are returning to reality television with a new docuseries on Lifetime, capturing their family’s journey after their recent release from prison. The series, currently in production, will follow their children — Savannah, Chase, Grayson, and Chloe — as they navigate life post-incarceration. Todd and Julie, who were convicted in 2022 for tax evasion and bank fraud, were pardoned by former President Donald Trump on May 27, 2025. According to sources, Todd and Julie want seven figures to appear back on the small screen, and it’s making producers scoff. Here’s what’s allegedly going on.
Todd and Julie Chrisley allegedly want interested networks to bid on them for a TV series
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s presidential pardon made national headlines. Donald Trump pardoned the couple after serving just over two years of their combined 19-year sentences. Fans are looking forward to seeing the Lifetime series about Todd and Julie, as their daughter, Savannah, has openly admitted the hardship and heartbreak she’s gone through over her parents’ ordeal.
Now, it seems Todd and Chrisley want to cash in on their experience. A reality TV producer told DailyMail.com that the couple wants at least $5 million for a reality TV show contract. While they hoped many interested networks would bite, executives are hesitating to spend that amount of cash.
“We would love to work with them, but their price tag is way too high,” a reality television producer told the publication. “And it’s not entirely clear if they’ll be worth the money. Will people want to watch them?”
“What everyone has to decide is what a Chrisley show will look like,” another producer said. “What will the angle be? That’s important in deciding what the cost should be.”
A third producer had more confidence that the couple could bring in viewers. “They’re hungry for a good deal,” the producer said. “And if we can come up with one, I’ll put them back on TV. Because people will watch.”
Todd Chrisley says the Lifetime TV show filmed the night of his release
The Chrisleys are back and ready to reclaim their place in reality TV. Lifetime has greenlit a brand-new docuseries following the famously outspoken family in the wake of Todd and Julie Chrisley’s high-profile release from prison, thanks to a headline-making pardon from former President Donald Trump. Produced by Scout Productions (Queer Eye), the upcoming series promises an unfiltered look at life after scandal, centering on Savannah, Chase, Grayson, and Chloe as they navigate family, fame, and forgiveness.
During a press conference on May 30, 2025, Todd verified that he and Julie “started filming literally the night that we got home,” according to People.
“As soon as we got home, so I think with this new series, you will see the first time he and mom see each other for the first time,” Savannah noted at the conference. She added that they had previously finished filming before her parents were pardoned. However, after the pardon, filming “picked right back up.”
“And we’re excited because I think this new show is going to give, first off, it’s going to give people a look into the trial and things that we went through, and we’re going to set the record straight, put some documents out there,” Savannah continued.
The reality TV couple doesn’t have the net worth they once did
Todd and Julie Chrisley experienced a dramatic financial turnaround in recent years. As of 2025, Todd’s net worth is estimated at approximately -$18 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, placing him in the red due to substantial debts and legal obligations. Julie Chrisley’s net worth is estimated to be around $1.5 million.
Their financial troubles began in 2019 when they were indicted on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. Despite filing for bankruptcy in 2012, where they reported $4.2 million in assets against $49.4 million in debt, the couple continued to amass wealth through their reality TV ventures. However, their lavish lifestyle came under scrutiny, leading to their convictions in 2022 and subsequent prison sentences.
It’s unclear how much Todd and Julie will make from their Lifetime series. However, it makes sense that they want to get back to accruing wealth after prison.
