In 2025, Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality series Chrisley Knows Best, were granted a presidential pardon years after being convicted on federal charges. The couple had been sentenced in 2022, with Todd receiving 12 years and Julie seven. But their sentences were already shortened in 2023 due to good behavior and changes in federal prison guidelines. Now, Todd is speaking out about rumors surrounding him and his former male business associate, Mark Braddock. Here’s how he recently denied the affair allegations once more.

Todd Chrisley found himself at the center of controversy during his 2022 federal trial. Mark Braddock, his former business associate, took the stand as a key witness for the prosecution. Braddock testified that he and Todd were involved in an intimate relationship years earlier and that they later conspired together to commit financial fraud. He also admitted to helping submit false documents to banks and then receiving immunity in exchange for his cooperation with the authorities. Todd has strongly denied any romantic involvement with Braddock, calling the claims false and characterizing Braddock as vindictive and dishonest.

The explosive nature of Braddock’s testimony not only added a sensational twist to the trial but also fueled widespread media attention and public speculation. Todd, who has consistently portrayed a family-first, Christian image on his show, pushed back hard against Braddock’s accusations.

While speaking on Kandi Burruss’ Speak On It YouTube show, Todd addressed the affair rumors. He explained how his attorney called him to his office and requested that his wife, Julie Chrisley, not be present. Todd then noted that there’s nothing he wouldn’t say in front of Julie.

“And I said, ‘Let’s just be very clear. If I had f***ed him once, he’d come back for seconds,'” Todd recalled to Burruss.

“He said it was a one-time thing — it was an ‘experiment,'” Todd noted that Braddock alleged. “You ain’t experimenting on s***. You know what you’re doing. I don’t need to experiment giving h***. If I wanted to give h***, I’d give h***.”

Todd Chrisley previously addressed the Mark Braddock affair rumors

Todd Chrisley addressed the Mark Braddock gay affair rumors in the past. In 2023, he appeared on his Chrisley Confessions podcast with his son, Chase, to call out the rumor mill.

“What insulted me the most is that, out of all these 54 years, for me to finally be accused of being with a man, it would be someone who looked like Mark Braddock,” Todd joked, according to Page Six. Todd then said Braddock looked like “a toad” and “a thumb.”

“I ain’t that small spoon at Baskin-Robbins. I’m the whole scoop. You don’t get to just sample here,” Todd continued. “That is the one thing that is the most insulting — to say that I couldn’t pull something better than that … there’s better to be had by Todd Chrisley than that.”

The business associate testified that a blackmailer threatened to out him and the reality star

According to Business Insider, Mark Braddock testified that he and Todd Chrisley paid a blackmailer $38,000 in cash. Braddock worked for Todd’s foreclosure management company, Chrisley Asset Management, at the time. During his testimony in Todd and Julie’s federal trial, Braddock claimed an anonymous texter threatened to expose their fraud and his sexual encounter with Todd. Braddock said he made four cash withdrawals worth $9,500 from their business account and handed the money off to Todd “in a little bag.”

Braddock noted that he retained feelings for Todd after the affair. He was given immunity from prosecution after admitting to creating fake documents to submit to banks and impersonating Todd (with his knowledge) via email and over the phone. After his and Todd’s falling out in 2012, he said he sent incriminating information about Todd and Julie to the government and other organizations.
