In a stunning twist that has captivated fans and critics alike, reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have officially received a presidential pardon, marking a dramatic turn in their high-profile legal saga. The couple, best known for their hit show Chrisley Knows Best, had been serving time for tax evasion and bank fraud before the unexpected announcement reignited public interest in their family’s story. Their son, Grayson Chrisley, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight amid the chaos, broke his silence on social media, hinting at a fresh start and a long-awaited reunion with his parents. Now, Todd has some great news regarding Grayson’s academic progress.

Todd Chrisley publicly congratulated his son, Grayson Chrisley, on making the Dean’s List at the University of Alabama

Grayson Chrisley is trading reality TV fame for college life, settling into his new chapter at the University of Alabama with the same charm and determination fans watched him grow up with on Chrisley Knows Best. Now a proud member of the Crimson Tide community, Grayson is embracing campus life, from game days at Bryant-Denny Stadium to studying in pursuit of his academic goals. While his last name may turn heads, those close to him say he’s focused on carving out his own path — away from the cameras and under the Southern sun.

Todd Chrisley congratulated his son on Instagram for making the University of Alabama’s Dean’s List for the 2025 spring semester. Making the prestigious list means Grayson had a 3.5 GPA or above.

“God is good all the time, @graysonchrisley,” Todd captioned his post. “I love you to the moon and back and we couldn’t be more proud, you have shown great character and fortitude and stood with your lord and savior amidst the fire and came out the other side never smelling of smoke, you are proof of Gods word. Stand tall, Stand true and stand for your fellow brothers in Christ. I love you Gray Gray [sic].”

This marks Todd Chrisley’s first social media post since his prison release

In a headline-grabbing move from President Donald Trump, Todd and Julie Chrisley received a presidential pardon, effectively wiping clean the federal convictions that once threatened to define their legacy. The Chrisley Knows Best stars were serving prison sentences for tax evasion and bank fraud, but the pardon, granted in a surprise announcement, sparked both celebration from loyal fans and controversy among critics. Now, with their legal troubles behind them, the Chrisleys are eyeing a comeback, vowing to share their side of the story and return to the spotlight with renewed purpose.

Before Todd congratulated Grayson via Instagram, he hadn’t posted to his socials since 2022. He began serving his prison sentence in January 2023. Since his release, he’s crashed daughter Savannah’s podcast to discuss the high incarceration rates in the U.S. He was also spotted shopping at Nordstrom with Savannah.
