Todd Chrisley Speaks Out After Trump Pardon: ‘Convicted of Something I Did Not Do’
Todd Chrisley is speaking out after his release from prison.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced that he would pardon the reality TV star and his wife Julie Chrisley. The former Chrisley Knows Best stars were both serving lengthy prison sentences after being convicted in 2022 of a $36 million bank fraud and tax evasion scheme.
“I want to thank President Trump,” Todd said at a press conference (via YouTube) on Friday morning. He also expressed his gratitude to his and Julie’s daughter Savannah Chrisley, his legal team, and Alice Marie Johnson, Trump’s “pardon czar.”
Todd went on to insist that he had not committed any crime.
“I was convicted of something I did not do,” he said. “It could be you. It could be any of you.”
Todd claimed there were serious problems with the federal government’s case against him and his wife.
“You’re placed in the position as a defendant to either bow down and kiss the ass of the Department of Justice and accept responsibility for things you did not do in order to avoid a stronger sentence,” he said. “And the corruption that went on in our case is going to continue to unfold.”

Savannah Chrisley denies she paid for her parents’ pardon
Savannah refuted reports that she’d “paid for a pardon, or slept for a pardon.” Instead, it was extensive lobbying that led to results. “I had to fight. And I was relentless,” she said.
Savannah later criticized the judge who handled her parents’ case – whom she described as “the youngest female African-American judge appointed by Obama” – for allowing what she claimed was “tainted” evidence to be heard at trial.
The former Growing Up Chrisley star also said that she planned to continue her work for prison and criminal justice reform that she began when her parents were incarcerated.
“There’s too much work to be done,” she said. “We’re not leaving those men and women behind. There’s too much reform to be done.”
Savannah also confirmed the family was already filming for their new Lifetime reality show.
