Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden was easily the most talked-about ceremony of the year; it dominated headlines for most of the NFL offseason. But Kelce was far from the only NFL star to host a wedding this year. From destination resorts to hometown ballrooms, several players used their free time before training camp to take a stroll down the aisle.

DeVonta Smith got married in June

DeVonta Smith had a truly magical wedding moment with his longtime partner, Mya Danielle. The couple wed at the Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World on June 13. The choice to say “I do” in Florida was a deeply personal one, building on a tradition the couple has been building together for years. The pair told People, “Ultimately, choosing this destination allows us to return to a place we already love year after year and be reminded of one of the most important moments of our lives. It felt like the perfect way to honor our family traditions while celebrating our wedding in a truly beautiful setting.”

Smith and Danielle have a long history together. The pair met as middle school students while running track. They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in Philadelphia in 2024.

Michael Penix Jr. hosted his wedding in May

A little more than a month before DeVonta Smith and Mya Danielle walked down the aisle in Florida, Michael Penix Jr. and his bride, Olivia Carter, exchanged vows in Georgia. The pair wed at an intimate ceremony at the Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. Penix Jr. proposed on Christmas Eve in 2024, a year after going public with the relationship.

The newlyweds’ paths reportedly crossed while Penix Jr. was playing collegiate football in Washington. While Carter attended the University of Nevada, she is a Washington native. The wedding came months after Penix Jr.’s season came to an abrupt end when he tore his ACL. His Falcons team rallied around him, and several were on-hand to witness the union.

Lane Johnson tied the knot for the second time in April

The Eagles organization was very busy celebrating love in the offseason. Lane Johnson also tied the knot. The 36-year-old offensive tackle married Kelsey Holmer on April 11 at a venue just outside Nashville, Tennessee. Current and former teammates, including Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce, Saquon Barkley, and Landon Dickerson, were all on hand to celebrate the big day.

The duo went public with their relationship in 2022 and announced their engagement in April of 2025. It is unclear how they met. This is Johnson’s second marriage. His first marriage, to Chelsea Johnson, ended in 2019. They share three children.

Sam Darnold and Katie Hoofnagle also exchanged vows in April

Sam Darnold also walked down the aisle in April. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback married his longtime girlfriend, Katie Hoofnagle, on April 3 at Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa in California. The star-studded event was packed with football players from around the league.

Darnold and Hoofnagle’s paths first crossed back in 2023, while he was quarterback for the Carolina Panthers. They were introduced by a mutual friend at a bar, and sparks flew from there. The beachside proposal happened in July 2025. They shared the big news via Instagram just days later.
