Michael B. Jordan won big at the Oscars in 2026. The actor took home the Best Actor award for his role in Sinners, as he played identical twin brothers, Smoke and Stack. And fans are ecstatic for Jordan’s first Academy Award win. Unfortunately, Jordan’s win meant Timothée Chalamet didn’t walk away with the award he hoped for. And Travis Scott’s post of Jordan after the big win has everyone talking. Here’s why.

Michael B. Jordan took home the Best Actor award at the Oscars in 2026. The actor played two characters in Sinners — twins Smoke and Stack — and he displayed an impressive range as the brothers in the vampire film. Rapper Travis Scott celebrated Jordan’s win by posting a photo to his Instagram Stories of the actor accepting the award and rubbing his eyes while on stage. Scott then followed this photo with a picture of Sinners director Ryan Coogler holding an Academy Award.

Scott sharing a photo of Jordan sparked an online discussion regarding their relationship. And some fans also saw it as a slight against Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. Jenner, Scott’s ex, attended the Oscars in 2026 alongside Chalamet, as Chalamet hoped to get his first Best Actor win for his role in Marty Supreme. Unfortunately for Chalamet, he was bested by Jordan. But the Marty Supreme actor graciously lost and appeared genuinely excited for Jordan’s achievement.

Fans on Reddit joked about the “Kardashian-Jenner curse” and how Chalamet has now been affected. Others alleged that Scott hoped Adrien Brody would win over Chalamet in 2025. Scott himself didn’t reflect on how he feels about Chalamet, so his posts are completely up to fan interpretation. Additionally, he appears to have a great co-parenting relationship with Jenner. With this in mind, it seems more likely that Scott aimed to publicly celebrate Jordan’s win rather than throw shade at Chalamet.
