Tristan Thompson Says Mothers of His Kids Are All Friends Despite Cheating Past
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s relationship took over the spotlight from 2016 to 2021. The NBA champion infamously cheated on Kardashian multiple times, resulting in scandal after scandal for their family of four. Today, Kardashian has a great co-parenting relationship with Thompson as they care for their kids, True, born in 2018, and Tatum, born in 2022. In 2026, Thompson reflected on his relationships with the women who’ve had his children, including Kardashian. And he noted how they’re all great friends. Here’s what he said.
NBA star Tristan Thompson says all the mothers of his kids are friends
Tristan Thompson is the father of four children with three different women. He shares his oldest son, Prince, born in 2016, with Jordan Craig. And he has daughter True and son Tatum with Khloé Kardashian. Thompson also has a son, Theo, born in 2021, with Maralee Nichols.
Thompson is known for his past tumultuous relationship with Kardashian, as it was marked by multiple cheating scandals that played out publicly. He was first caught cheating in 2017, just days before she gave birth to True. The couple split again in 2019 after he was linked to Jordyn Woods. Their on-and-off relationship continued until late 2021, when it was revealed Thompson had fathered Theo with Nichols during their relationship—something he later confirmed and apologized for.
In April 2026, Thompson went on The Katie Miller Podcast to explain how the mothers of his kids are all friends now.
“We’re all friends,” Thompson claimed. “At the end of the day, we’re all family. We all have each other’s contact info. We’re all in a great place, because I think that’s the number one thing. At the end of the day, no matter how you chop it up and no matter how you want to put it together, we’re all tied together. We’re all family, and our kids are all siblings, and they’re going to be in each other’s lives for a long time. And I think all of us are mature enough to understand what’s the most important thing, and it’s our little tribe.”
Thompson went on to call all of the mothers “amazing.” He added that his co-parenting experience has been positive.
“All of us are mature enough to understand that we all want to be great as parents, and we’re all on the same line of communication,” he continued.
He doesn’t believe in the ‘Kardashian curse’
Tristan Thompson doesn’t believe in the “Kardashian curse” — the myth that men who are romantically involved with the Kardashian-Jenners experience misfortune in their personal lives and careers.
“No, doesn’t exist,” he said on The Katie Miller Podcast. “I think that’s something where people that are low vibration and have nothing to talk about that want views make up this curse. So, I think it’s just for social media banter.”
When it comes to showing his personal life on reality TV, Thompson noted that he believes it’s part of his “destiny.” He has no regrets.
Tristan Thompson said his ‘favorite memory’ was of his first date with Khloé Kardashian
While speaking on the podcast, Tristan Thompson revealed his incredible memory. “I don’t forget anything,” he said. When asked about his “favorite memory,” he told a story about first meeting Khloé Kardashian on a blind date.
“My favorite memory would be, maybe, my blind date with Khloé,” he said. “We met at the Bel-Air Hotel, blind date. I remember exactly what she had on. She had leave-in conditioner in her hair. She had one of those hats that we used to wear, like the Smokey the Bear hats, bodysuit, Good American jeans on. I remember exactly everyone that was there.”
