Khloé Kardashian isn’t afraid to get real on her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land. Ahead of Valentine’s Day in 2026, she took phone calls from fans to give them love advice on her hotline. And she took the opportunity to recall one awkward moment between herself and her ex, Tristan Thompson.

“There was one time I was serenaded, and it was, I think, just a random day, because I wasn’t expecting it,” she said on the podcast.

Kardashian noted that this happened years ago, and before Tatum was born. Thompson asked her to “come outside” randomly. There, she saw Grammy-nominated American R&B singer Giveon.

“Giveon came — Giveon wasn’t who he was now,” Kardashian explained. “And he is just, like, singing. I remember I hated Tristan, and I was like, ‘Why are you doing this?’ And Giveon is pouring his heart out. And Tristan’s trying to sit next to me, and I’m like, slapping him, and poor Giveon is still singing. It was mortifying.”

Kardashian explained how the entire situation “annoyed” her even when it was meant as a sweet gesture.

“I was like, ‘God, this guy is such a great singer. I love this guy,’” she continued. “And I remember going inside to get True because I was like, ‘I just need like a third person to get [away from] Tristan.’ I was so annoyed with Tristan.”

Now, Kardashian can look back on the incident and laugh.

“It was so funny,” she continued. “And [to] this day, if I see Giveon, he’ll be like ‘Remember, if I could sing live for you two while you guys were fighting and not [break]’ …. Giveon was so professional, he was so great, he didn’t break his song at all. He’s amazing, I love him. But, how awkward for him, poor guy. I love you, Giveon.”

“I think what I find so funny is that people are always like, ‘How do you let Tristan back in?’” she said on her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast in November. “And I’m like, ‘Well, Tristan is not back in.’ He’s just the father of my kids, so he’s going to be around his kids, and I’m really grateful that he is.”

“I love that he has a great relationship with his kids,” she continued. “I think that’s a beautiful blessing, and I’m never going to get in the way of that. I think it’s so important for that relationship to maintain and be as strong as possible.”

During the same Khloé in Wonder Land podcast episode, Kardashian took a call from someone who discussed how they were being kept a secret in their relationship.

“No. 1, yes, that is a major f***ing red flag, when people don’t want to claim you,” Kardashian verified. She then noted that she doesn’t believe in going public with romances on social media. “Some relationships, I just don’t want to publicize it,” she said. “That’s fine. Doesn’t mean it’s a secret, it means that we’re private.” However, she verified that she has been in relationships where her partner didn’t want others to know that they were dating her.

“For me, have I had that happen to me before? Yes,” Kardashian said. “And the second I feel that it happens, I don’t like that. I might ask and be like, ‘So, what is this?’ Might bring it to that guy’s attention…. But I’m also not someone who wants to beg.”
