Troy Apologizes to Zeruiah in Next Episode of ‘Life After Lockup’
Troy can’t do this without Zeruiah by his side.
In the September 12 episode of Life After Lockup, Troy has a heart to heart phone call with his wife, telling her that he needs her support as he deals with his complicated and emotionally draining family situation.
Troy begs Zeruiah to come to Buffalo in the next episode of ‘Life After Lockup’
In this exclusive clip from Friday’s episode of the We TV reality series, Troy gets real with Zeruiah about how he’s feeling – and why he left her to see his family.
“I left you and came to Buffalo to see what’s going on with my family overall,” he says. “Starting with my little brother. A lot of things that I came here to take care of, it’s personal on their behalf. That does not concern you. And it’s not right that I dragged you through all the sh*t that I gotta go through.”
“I apologize for that,” Troy continues. “You was there for me when nobody else was when my father passed. Can you come and be with me, please?” he asks, begging her to drop everything and drive from Syracuse to Buffalo to attend a memorial service for his late dad.
Zeruiah agrees to come to Buffalo, but is there more trouble ahead?
Zeruiah has concerns about Troy’s dynamic with Yona, the mother of his daughter, Troii, the rest of his family. But she’s not going to let that prevent her from supporting her husband.
“OK, well, I’m going to come,” she tells him. “Of course I’m going to be there to support you. I always am.”
“It’s going to be in downtown Buffalo, Freedom Park. If you leave now, you’ll make it in time … I love you,” Troy replies, giving her directions to the event.
A producer then asks Troy how he thinks Zeruriah will react if Yona, his ex and the mother of his daughter, is at his dad’s memorial. He says he’s just following her advice to do what he needs to make things right with his child.
“My wife just encourage me to do whatever I got to do to be in my daughter’s life, do that,” he says. “Listen, it’s not about none of us, y’all. It’s about my baby. That’s all I care about, for real.”
But Zeruiah and Yona have had conflict in the past. Will the two women be able to keep the peace for Troy’s sake, or will things get heated during what’s supposed to be an occasion for healing and remembrance?
Life After Lockup airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on We TV. Episodes also stream on ALLBLK and AMC+.
