According to a new study from furniture retailer Roomes, David and Victoria Beckham have the most expensive celebrity real estate portfolio in the U.K. The study shows that the couple has five properties with an estimated value of $205 million. And their property makes up 22.7% of their net worth. The couple’s most expensive home is reportedly worth $72.3 million.

In London, the couple’s primary residence is a Grade II-listed Victorian townhouse in exclusive Holland Park, according to The London Standard. They purchased the home in 2013 for tens of millions and extensively renovated it with luxury amenities. Away from city life, they own a sprawling countryside estate in the Cotswolds, where multiple historic farmhouses were combined into a single nine-bedroom retreat complete with outdoor leisure spaces, gardens, and a private lake.

The Beckhams have also invested internationally. They have significant properties in Miami, including a waterfront mansion overlooking Biscayne Bay and a luxury penthouse in a landmark tower.

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has the 2nd most expensive UK real estate portfolio

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has even more properties than David and Victoria Beckham. According to the study from Roomes, he has an estimated total property value of $150 million. And his homes make up 32.64% of his net worth. Hamilton’s most expensive home is worth $40.7 million.

In the U.K., the seven-time Formula 1 champion owns a historic mansion in Kensington, London, according to PlanetF1. He bought the Victorian-era residence in 2017. It features expansive reception rooms and a long garden. Beyond Britain, Hamilton’s primary base is in Monaco’s ultra-exclusive Fontvieille district, a Mediterranean tax haven popular among F1 drivers.

His portfolio also includes a luxury home in Milan’s Porta Nuova district following his move to Ferrari, an Aspen ranch in Colorado that he regards as a personal retreat, and multiple high-end New York City residences.

Ed Sheeran ranks 3rd, but he owns the most homes by far

According to the study from Roomes, Ed Sheeran is the U.K. celebrity with the third-most expensive real estate portfolio. He reportedly owns a whopping 27 properties, accounting for nearly 40% of his net worth. The estimated total value of his real estate is $137 million. Sheeran’s most expensive home is worth $27 million.

At the heart of Sheeran’s holdings is his sprawling Suffolk countryside estate, according to The London Standard. Situated near Framlingham, where he grew up, this 16-acre compound comprises multiple adjoining houses that Sheeran has assembled over the past decade.

He also owns at least two dozen residential properties across London’s most sought-after postcodes, including Notting Hill, Holland Park, Covent Garden, Whitechapel, Battersea, Hammersmith, and Chiswick. These homes range from luxury flats to substantial houses and serve both as personal residences and potentially lucrative rental or investment assets.

Internationally, Sheeran’s real estate interests include a high-end condominium in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Earlier reports have noted a villa in Umbria, Italy, which includes vineyards.

Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Simon Cowell are further down the list

Fans of U.K. musicians might expect Paul McCartney and Elton John to top the list of U.K. celebrities with impressive real estate portfolios. However, they’re further down the study from Roomes. Robbie Williams takes fourth place with an estimated total property value of $125 million. And Adele takes fifth place with an estimated total property value of $105 million.

Elton John takes sixth place. He has seven properties worth $102 million, making up 15.69% of his net worth.

Paul McCartney is next in seventh place. He has over eight properties worth $100 million. This makes up just 7.69% of his $1.3 billion net worth.

Former American Idol judge Simon Cowell takes eighth place. He has three properties worth just $50 million, which make up 8.33% of his total net worth.

“The smartest move in these portfolios isn’t the price tags but the spreading across continents like a hedge fund,” a spokesperson for Roomes said. “High-net-worth investors learned this lesson during the 2008 crash: When London property tanked, Dubai stayed stable. If U.K. tax laws shift or Brexit 2.0 hits, having a Miami backup works like insurance. The wealthy stopped putting all their eggs in one country’s basket decades ago.”
