Congrats are in order for Usain Bolt and his longtime partner, Kasi Bennett, as the two are engaged!

The legendary sprinter, dubbed “the fastest man on the planet,” celebrated his 40th birthday at One Belmont in Kingston, Jamaica, recently and during the bash, Bolt got down on one knee and asked Bennett to marry him. The eight-time Olympic gold medalist proposed with a five-carat pear-shaped diamond ring. As their family and friends cheered, Bennett appeared stunned before she accepted.

The couple posted a carousel of pics via social media with the caption, “A million moments led us here. Yes, always,” and added a white heart emoji. In her Instagram story, Bennett shared her initial reaction, saying, “This about sums up the night. My face,” with melting and cry-laughing emojis.

Bolt and Bennett have been together for more than a decade. They began dating in 2013 but kept things private until Bolt admitted her had a girlfriend at the 2016 Rio Olympics when he told The Telegraph, “I’m not going to tell you who she is. I want to keep it small for now because I know when it gets out there’s going to be a lot of things to say, and I told her she can’t handle it because I’ve been through the media. I understand how you guys are.”

The two also share three children: a daughter named Olympia Lightning and twin sons named Thunder and Saint Leo.

Congratulatory messages from fans around the world have poured in, and many want to know what’s written in the stars for their marriage.

According to Numerologist.com, with Life Path numbers of 8 (Bolt) and 6 (Bennett), “they are both even numbers, both grounded in the material world, both oriented toward building something lasting. That shared orientation is genuine and creates real common ground. But the 6 builds homeward, and the 8 builds outward … Both understand commitment as something they build, not something that happens.

“A 6 and an 8 who have chosen each other are both, in different ways, in it seriously. That shared seriousness is foundational. Neither is going anywhere the moment things get hard. The complementarity, when it works, is real. The 8 provides the material foundation: the income, the security, the practical competence at navigating the world’s logistics. The 6 provides the emotional foundation, the home that feels like home, the relationships that knit the family together, the quality of daily life that makes the security worth having.”

They are compatible because “Both numbers are also drawn to quality: the 6 in the realm of home and relationship, the 8 in the realm of work and achievement. This shared value means they’re unlikely to fundamentally misunderstand what the other is trying to build, even when they disagree on emphasis.

“Both numbers are grounded, commitment-oriented, and interested in building something lasting — which gives this pairing solid common ground. The 6 and the 8 can build genuinely good lives together.”
