The source added that Victoria feels that Nicola is trying to use the Beckham family name to advance her career.
“Dropping Peltz from her name feels like she’s taking from the family brand that Victoria and David worked so hard for, without having a billionaire father to bankroll either of them,” the source said. “It’s a highly sensitive subject. It’s hard for both Victoria and David to just turn the other cheek.”
The source noted that Victoria feels that this adds insult to injury while their son remains estranged from them.
“On the one hand, they’re heartbroken that Brooklyn is choosing to be estranged from them and that there’s no sign of a reconciliation,” they said. “But they take their business and Brand Beckham seriously. To see Nicola try to capitalise on the family name is a difficult pill to swallow, especially as a lot of the problems have stemmed from her.”
