‘Marshals’ premieres Sunday, March 1 on CBS
Marshals (previously known as Y: Marshals) premieres Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. CBS is available over-the-air with a digital antenna, as part of most cable packages, and with live TV streaming services such as YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV.
The premiere will also stream live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers. Paramount+ Essential subscribers can watch the episode on-demand the day after it airs.
Subsequent episodes of Marshals will air Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
What to expect from the first episode of the ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff
In the first episode of Marshals, titled “Piya Wiconi,” Kayce reunites with an old SEAL teammate and aids his Marshal unit in hunting down a bomber targeting Broken Rock Reservation. The trail leads to a dangerous encounter with an armed anti-government militia.
Who is in the ‘Marshals’ cast?
In addition to Grimes, Marshals will feature Logan Marshall-Green as Pete Calvin, Arielle Kebbel as Belle Skinner, Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz, and Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle.
Several Yellowstone cast members will also reprise their roles in the new show. Brecken Merrill plays Kayce’s son Tate. Gil Birmingham returns as Thomas Rainwater and Mo Brings Plenty returns as Mo, both from the Broken Rock reservation.
One person who has not been announced as part of the Marshals cast is Kelsey Asbille, who played Kayce’s wife Monica. That’s led to speculation that her character might have been killed off, prompting Kayce to join the U.S. Marshals.
Grimes has hinted at Monica’s death in interviews.
“We find him at a really low point. Kind of worst case scenario, actually,” he told ExtraTV. “Kind of the worst thing that could happen to him has happened, and it’s sort like picking up the pieces and where does he go from there.”
“I think faced with something like that, you’ve only got a couple of choices, you know,” he added. “One, you can completely fall apart, and live in despair, or you make a huge change and you keep fighting and you try something new, and he decides to do the latter.”
