We Are Siding with Wells Adams In The Latest ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Drama: ‘What’s Happening?!’
Wells Adams has seen many bachelors and bachelorettes come and go during his time on Bachelor in Paradise. As the bartender, Wells is also privy to pretty much everything that goes on between the contestants. He’s seen all the good and all the bad. His experience has made him pretty laid-back when it comes to the drama, but he had a lot to say during the August 11 episode. Exasperated, Wells couldn’t understand why everyone was turning on Brian Autz instead of Jeremy Simon, during the most intense Bachelor in Paradise drama yet. We have to side with Wells; the contestants’ behavior made no sense.
Brain Autz makes himself a target by being honest
Brian Autz was not a fan favorite on Bachelor in Paradise. In fact, he hasn’t come across well during his brief time in Costa Rica. Still, he made himself a target to other contestants after boldly telling Bailey Brown how Jeremy Simon had gone behind her back to try to bring Susie Evans back to paradise. Brian also revealed to Bailey that Jeremy had insisted he would slide into Susie’s DMs after the show and propose to her immediately if she showed up again.
Everything Brian told Bailey was captured on film. Still, in the moment, she didn’t seem to believe the Long Island native. The entire incident resulted in absolutely no action from Bailey, but plenty of hate for Brian and, by proxy, Parisa. Fans walked away from the episode confused by the lack of integrity from the entire cast. We left the episode behind feeling equally uncomfortable, but Wells Adams was a bright spot.
Wells Adams calls out the ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Contestants
Fans might have been screaming at their TVs as drama between Bailey, Brian, Jeremy, and the rest of the cast unfolded, but they were given a momentary reprieve when Wells Adams said what everyone else was thinking. The Bachelor in Paradise bartender took to the screen to point out that everyone was treating Brian as if he were the bad guy, despite him being the only contestant who had done the right thing during the episode. Adams questioned, “What’s happening!?” after noting that Bailey’s need to make an informed decision superseded any implied “bro code.”

What was even more unbelievable was the women’s take on the situation. It felt somewhat expected for the men to possibly side with Jeremy. The women’s disdain for Brian’s honesty struck us as strange, though. Kat Izzo, who has been lied to by Dale Moss multiple times, was the most vocal about her concerns about Brian’s integrity. Were they simply angry that Brian spilling the tea made them look bad? After all, they were not the ones to step forward. Kat and Alexe Godin, in particular, didn’t come off looking great. We have yet to learn their rationale.
How Brian’s decision will impact his time in paradise moving forward is anyone’s guess. Still, it feels like his time is limited. With the other contestants in control of who goes home and when, he could very well be next with Parisa as collateral damage.
