What should have been a joyous occasion has turned into a major family fracas on Welcome to Plathville.

This season of the TLC reality show has followed Lydia Plath and her boyfriend Zac Wyse’s rocky path to the altar. While the pair are head over heels for each other, Lydia’s protective family members aren’t sure about their whirlwind romance. But despite their concerns, Lydia and Zac plowed ahead and pulled off a picture-perfect wedding, though their big day was marred when a fight between two of her brothers at the reception sent one to the hospital.

Fortunately, all the drama didn’t put a damper on Lydia and Zac’s love. The couple – who tied the knot in February 2025 – are still happily married.

So far, Lydia hasn’t commented on the drama between her brothers at her wedding, calling it “gossip.” But she has made it clear that she and Zac are still very much together.

“Married to the love of my life,” reads the Welcome to Plathville star’s Instagram bio. Her profile page also features a photo of her and husband on their wedding day. Most of her recent posts also show her and her husband enjoying married life together. They’re currently on a multi-week road trip around the country that’s already taken them to Arkansas and Missouri.

Lydia and Zac have also opened up about their relationship during multiple podcast appearances. In July, they spoke about their decision to save their first kiss for their wedding day on Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast.

“There’s such a beauty about it in respecting the other, and it truly is a great physical boundary,” Zac told the former TLC stars. “Because then there were so many other ways that we were able to build trust for one another and just enjoy different moments because we’re not kissing and because we’re not falling into different physical things. It’s like, no, we get to dance or have more enjoyable moments like running around or frolicking or doing whatever because we’re not kissing.”

Lydia agreed that saving the kissing until later allowed them to build a solid foundation for their marriage.

“I can’t tell you how many times we experienced so much joy that we were just like, ‘This is even better than kissing right now,'” she said. “‘Like, I don’t know where this joy is coming from, but I feel so close to you right now because of the conversations we’ve had, because of how intentional we’ve been.’”

‘Welcome to Plathville’ star says she was ‘hurt’ by some of her family’s comments during her engagement

Now that she’s married, Lydia is embracing her new life with her husband. One recent Instagram post also hints that she is putting the drama with her family behind her.

“Don’t hold on to those things that hold you back from where you’re meant to go,” she captioned a slideshow of photos of her and her husband.

Lydia has also said that she was dismayed by some comments her family made during the lead up to her wedding.

“It really hurts to see my family saying things about Zac and I that if they would have just come to us, and known us, it would have all been answered and clear that all Zac was doing in that month leading up to the wedding was caring for me and being there for me,” she wrote on September 14. “He’s truly the most selfless man I’ve met and loves me in such a pure way.”

Welcome to Plathville airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on TLC. Episodes also stream on HBO Max.
