The Plaths are coming back to TLC.

A new season of Welcome to Plathville is set to air this summer. The new episodes will follow the conservative Christian family as they navigate new relationships, a difficult divorce, and dating rough patches. But one long-time cast member might not have much of a role going forward.

‘Welcome to Plathville’ Season 7 premieres July 22

Welcome to Plathville Season 7 premieres Tuesday, July 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.

Season 6 of the family’s reality show wrapped up in October 2024. In the finale, Moriah Plath revealed she’d reconnected with her ex-boyfriend, even though he’d previously lied about dating another woman – and having a child. Her older brother Ethan Plath greeted the news with skepticism, wondering how she could trust him to be honest after his past deception.

Meanwhile, Ethan was anxious about his future in the wake of his ongoing divorce from Olivia Plath. And his mom Kim Plath was still dealing with the fallout from her decision to split from her husband, Barry Plath.

Love is in the air for the Plaths in season 7

The 2025 season of Welcome to Plathville will see each member of the Plath family finding their way forward in their relationships.

Ethan and Moriah’s younger sister Lydia Plath has fallen hard for Zac Wyse. They’ve only been together four months, but they’re already talking about saying “I do.” However, not everyone in the family is on board with her race to the altar. (Lydia and Zac tied the knot in February 2025.)

Middle child Micah Plath introduced Welcome to Plathville fans to his girlfriend Veronica in season 6. Now, the couple has hit a rough patch. Will they be able to get on the same page regarding their relationship?

As their children deal with their relationship drama, parents Kim and Barry are still negotiating their ongoing divorce. Amid the chaos, Moriah has decided to take a step back and focus on finding herself.

‘Welcome to Plathville’: Olivia Plath Wants Out of Her TLC Contract

Notably absent from TLC’s synopsis of the new season of Welcome to Plathville is Ethan’s ex Olivia Plath. She and Ethan announced in the fall of 2023 that they planned to divorce. Season 6 featured some fraught conversations between the pair, as Ethan tried to salvage his marriage while Olivia expressed a desire to move on. Aside from her interactions with Ethan, Olivia’s storylines last season were mostly disconnected from the rest of her ex’s family, with whom she has a frosty relationship.

It’s not clear if Olivia will be part of the upcoming season of Welcome to Plathville. But if she does appear, it may be in a reduced capacity. Her relationship with Ethan is over, and she’s made it clear that she wants to put that part of her life behind her. Recently, she spoke out on Instagram about her desire to be released from her TLC contract. She’s also said Ethan’s alarming and aggressive behavior, which she characterized as abusive, was edited out of the family’s reality show.

During one argument, Ethan “slammed a chair into the bar,” Olivia said in a March 2025 Instagram post.

“What was cut out and didn’t make it was him looking me in the eye and saying very low, very calm, ‘Be very careful what you say,’ to which I said, ‘Peace out. I’m not OK being verbally threatened,’” she said. “I made sure I was meeting with him when there was cameras there for a reason.”

Ethan has not commented on Olivia’s allegations of abuse.
