Veronica Peters has the Plath family in her rearview mirror. The Florida-based real estate agent might appear in season 7 of Welcome to Plathville, which premieres July 22 on TLC. But she’s made it clear in various social media posts that her relationship with Micah Plath – and her time on the show – is over.

Veronica slams ‘Welcome to Plathville’ family, TLC in social media posts

Veronica made her Welcome to Plathville debut in season 6, when Micah introduced his girlfriend to TLC viewers. As of early this year, the pair were still together, as evidenced by posts on Veronica’s Instagram, including a January 2 photo that shows her and Micah cozied up in front of a fountain. But their relationship ended soon after the wedding of Micah’s younger sister Lydia Plath to Zac Wyse, she says.

“As most of you know, Micah and I broke up months ago,” Veronica shared in a video shared on Instagram on July 1. “After a violent wedding that was filmed on camera.”

In previous posts, Veronica has claimed that Micah and his younger brother Isaac got into a physical fight at Lydia’s wedding on February 22, which resulted in Micah having to go to the hospital.

That incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Veronica, who said in the video that she witnessed multiple instances of troubling behavior from members of the Plath family.

“I’m speaking up. They haven’t paid me for season 7, and they probably won’t. My voice is way more important than a few dollars,” she said.

“They filmed a lot of abuse they’ve covered up,” Veronica continue. “I’m really interested to see what they do show because I lived it and I know the reality behind it. I know the abuse. I know the threats, the violence, just the barbaric behavior.”

Veronica doubled down on her claims that TLC was platforming abusers in a July 21 Instagram post.

“Wanna hear something funny? There was never any abuse or crime – according to the network profiting off it,” she captioned the post. “Gaslighting the audience while covering for predators?”

Veronica’s comments echo those of Olivia Plath, who has accused her former husband, Ethan Plath, of abuse, and has said the network has platformed people with hateful views. TLC has not commented on either woman’s allegations.

The new season of Welcome to Plathville was filmed before Veronica and Micah’s breakup. But in the teaser, there are hints that their relationship is under serious strain. Not only has Veronica fallen out with Micah’s sister Moriah Plath, with whom she was once close, but things are tense between her and Ethan.

“Veronica thinks that my family is out to get her,” Ethan says in the trailer. “Olivia thought the same things.”

Micah is “trying to ride the line” between his girlfriend and his family. But Veronica is not about to quietly acquiesce to the Plath family’s demands.

“If you want to be part of this family, this is the price you pay,” Ethan tells her.

“I’m going to be honest,” she cuts in. “I don’t know if I want to be part of the family.”

Welcome to Plathville Season 7 premieres Tuesday, July 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
