Where Is ’90 Day: Hunt for Love’ Filmed?
These 90 Day alums are on a quest to find the one. Eight familiar faces from the hit TLC franchise have headed to a tropical paradise, where they’ll connect with other singles – and maybe fall in love.
Rob Warne, Colt Johnson, Tim Malcolm, and Chantel Everett are among the 90 Day stars soaking up the vibes in Tulum, Mexico, in 90 Day: Hunt for Love. But where exactly did filming take place? Here’s what we know about the filming location for TLC’s latest hit series.
‘90 Day: Hunt for Love’ was filmed in Tulum
In the season premiere of 90 Day: Hunt for Love, the cast checks in to what Chantel describes as a “gorgeous beach resort.” While the resort isn’t identified by name, it looks like some scenes from the show were probably filmed at Papaya Playa Project.
The resort is nestled between the Caribbean coast and the Mexican jungle. Accommodations are inspired by Mayan culture and integrated with the local landscape. Breath-taking oceanfront villas offer a view of crystal blue waters and room for multiple guests, while romantic casitas come with amenities like secluded pools and private rooftops among the trees. Wellness offerings include yoga classes, sound healing, and artistic workshops, while guests can kick back at the resort’s beach club and restaurant.
However, it seems that not all Hunt for Love scenes were filmed at the same resort. Other parts of the show might have been filmed at the Kore Tulum Resort.
‘90 Day’ stars got nicer rooms at the resort

Rooms at the Tulum resort look gorgeous on the show. But what were they like in real life? YouTuber Kiki and Kibbitz took to Instagram to highlight reviews from actual guests. While some people raved about their relaxing stay, others didn’t have a great experience, complaining about lackluster customer service, expensive food and drinks, and poor maintenance. But most reviews are positive, with the resort earning a 4.6 rating on TripAdvisor.
It also appears that the OG 90 Day stars got upgraded rooms at the resort. “There was a HUGE difference in the accommodations for 90 Day Cast and the other ‘singles’ in Tulum,” read the post. “90 Day cast members stood in ‘casitas’ while the other singles were placed in ‘cabanas.’
Carlo, one of the Hunt for Love singles, confirmed the rumor about different accommodations. But he didn’t have a problem with that.
“We all got a free vacation,” he commented. “The resort is all about being in nature and all that comes with that. Made sense the OG cast got the nicer rooms – they were limited.”
Carlo also refuted the claim that he and the other singles were “paid actors.”
“None of us were,” he wrote. All actually single too.”
90 Day: Hunt for Love airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
