Who Is NBA Star Anthony Edwards’ Wife, Shannon Jackson, and Why Is the Newlyweds’ Compatibilty ‘Puzzling’?
Anthony Edwards is a married man!
The Minnesota Timberwolves star and his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, tied the knot in Hennepin County on July 16. This news comes after Edwards was seen wearing a wedding ring while at a Fanatics Fest event in New York City, and amid public scrutiny involving paternity and child support disputes connected to the athlete and other women. Edwards called some of the claims an “orchestrated, coordinated media campaign” to “pressure” him into monetary agreements.
Despite the scandals with other women, Jackson has stood by Edwards’ side and has been spotted cheering him on courtside at several of his games throughout the season.

How long Edwards and Jackson have been together
Edwards and Jackson (formerly known as Jeanine Robel) have been together since 2020.
Jackson was born on Jan. 24, 1994, making her seven years and six months older than Edwards who was born Aug. 5, 2001. Like Edwards, Jackson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Aislynn, in March 2024. Fans who watched the Netflix documentary Starting 5 will remember Edwards leaving a Timberwolves home game against the Sacramento Kings at halftime so he could join Jackson at the hospital for the birth of their baby girl.
Jackson also has a son, Krue Karter, from her previous relationship with rapper Chief Keef. Robel has posted about her son’s accomplishments on social media as Krue is a stand-out student and plays basketball and football. In 2022, his team won its first football championship.
As for Edwards, he has three other children — one son, Amir, and two daughters, Aubri’ and Aris.
Are Edwards and Jackson compatible?
So now that the two have officially said “I do,” some fans want to know just how compatible they are.
