The Great British Baking Show is a British baking competition series where amateur bakers compete in rounds, trying to win over judges. In each round, a contestant is eliminated and the winner is eventually selected from the finalists.

The series is also known by some as The Great British Bake Off. When American network PBS and streaming platforms such as Netflix imported seasons, they were forced to change the name to The Great British Baking Show, as Pillsbury owns the rights to the phrase “Bake-Off” in the United States.

Premiere: August 17, 2010
Genre: Cooking competition show
Cast: Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc, Sue Perkins, Prue Leith, Noel Fielding, Sandi Toksvig, Matt Lucas.
