Do All of the BTS Members Wear Makeup?

They’re the boy band behind songs like “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On.” The BTS members also aren’t afraid to blur the line between masculinity and femininity, whether that be with fashion or their makeup. 

Here’s what we know about this K-pop group, their skincare routines, and whether or not they wear makeup.

Do the BTS members wear makeup?

They’re award-winning performers, known for their bold fashion choices and iconic dance moves. These performers also wear makeup while on stage and in their music videos. There are even some makeup products inspired by these artists, available for ARMYs to purchase. 

Although they don’t wear makeup all of the time, most of the BTS members wear makeup while filming music videos and performing. That includes Jungkook, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, and V. 

For Suga’s “Daechwita” music video, the artist sported black hair and a scar across his eye. It wasn’t a real gash, and even though fans hypothesized a symbolic meaning, the rapper revealed that it was simply for aesthetic purposes.

The BTS members often change their hair colors and accessories 

Aside from wearing makeup, the BTS members often change their hair color to match the themes of their music. For the “Boy With Luv” era, Jimin had pink hair, while V sported blue locks. RM, known for his silver hair, had blue hair for part of the “Dynamite” era. 

The BTS members also accessorize with earrings, rings, colored contacts, and, for members like Jungkook, tattoos. The singer, V, even sported a neck tattoo for the “On” music video. 

What skincare products do the BTS members use?

Makeup and hair colors aside, the BTS members are pretty open about their skincare and their secrets to clear skin. However, the performers still get pimples from time to time. 

During one video, according to a translation, Jimin shared that he had three pimples on his face, leading him to reveal his crush on ARMYs. During one interview, the other members shared the steps of their skincare routines.

“[In the morning, I use] toner and face cream,” J-Hope said during an interview with Allure in 2017. “[At night, the steps are] toner, essence, acne care, lotion, cream.”

 “I love sheet masks,” Jungkook said of his favorite Korean beauty trend. “I try to put them on whenever I feel my skin is dry and exposed too much to the sun. They help me make up for lost moisture and brighten my skin.”
