Unfortunately for Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, Marvel and Sony kept their appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home a secret from the world. Or, at least, they tried to. So, the two actors couldn’t attend the Marvel Cinematic Universe film’s premiere with the rest of the cast. To make up for their absence, Garfield and Maguire went out and saw the Spider-Man movie on their own.

After Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Doctor Strange botched a spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home, villains and heroes from other Spider-Man movies started to crossover to the MCU. Basically, they broke the multiverse. Among these Spider-Man characters were Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parkers.

The three Peter Parkers teamed up to help the Spider-Man villains, including Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus. They decided they could redeem them instead of sending them back to their respective universes to die. In the end, Peter 1, Peter 2, and Peter 3 were successful.

Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire are the only three actors to play Peter Parker on the big screen. So, it was a special moment for them to work together in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Andrew Garfield admits that he and Tobey Maguire saw ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ in theaters

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Andrew Garfield finally opened up about starring in Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside fellow Spidey actors — Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland. The actor even recalled putting on a disguise to see the movie in theaters with Maguire.

“I still can’t believe it happened,” Garfield shared. “I snuck into a theater on opening night and just watched with my baseball cap on and my mask. In fact, I was also with Tobey. Me and Tobey snuck into a theater together, and no one knew we were there. It was just a really beautiful thing to share together.”

The actor added, “And to find a brotherhood with Tobey as well, and with Tom, and the fact that we do share a very unique experience.”

Maybe Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire can all see Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters together one day.

Will Peter 3 ever return to the big screen?

After seeing him in Spider-Man: No Way Home, many fans want to see Andrew Garfield play Peter Parker again. And the actor told Entertainment Tonight that he would be open to the idea.

“Never say never,” he said. “It’s a character that’s always going to be so meaningful to me, and so beautiful to me, and again, it comes back to service. I think if there’s a way, because that’s what that character is all about, he’s all about serving the greater good and serving his fellow people, serving humanity and all life.”

Garfield continued, “So, if there’s a way for me to continue to add to the legacy of that character in a way that feels like it’s of service to an audience, of service to the themes that Stan Lee injected that character with, I’m open, of course. I’m very, very open, but it would have to be very, very special. It would have to be very, very meaningful and fun, and joyful, like doing No Way Home was.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, is now playing in theaters.
