MTV’s The Challenge has quite a cast of characters, and many of them have OnlyFans accounts to bring in some side income when they’re not competing on the show. Cara Maria Sorbello is one of the most popular female competitors on The Challenge. And she’s now claiming her boyfriend, Paulie Calafiore, was the first to start the craze amongst Challenge contestants — but he was attacked for it. Here’s what she said.

Cara Maria Sorbello and Paulie Calafiore aren’t liked amongst ‘The Challenge’ cast

Sorbello and Calafiore have certainly rubbed some fans the wrong way through the years. And it seems they’ve both built up a reputation amongst other competitors as well. While Sorbello and Calafiore are tough physical threats, their attitude has put them at odds with other Challenge players. And many were happy the couple didn’t compete on season 35, Total Madness.

“Me and Cara are never going to have a relationship where we talk because I think she’s a little bit childish about the situation,” Kyle Christie, one of Sorbello’s exes, told the Challenge Mania podcast.

Da’vonne Rogers spoke to the same podcast about her experience with Sorbello on the show, too. “I just decided I didn’t want that type of energy around me” Rogers noted. “The only thing I said was, I saw who she was as a person and I made a choice, as an adult, to not want that type of energy around mine. … Cara has a very miserable, bitter, toxic energy to her. And I don’t want that around me.”

A number of ‘Challenge’ competitors earn income from OnlyFans

The Challenge prize money is huge for competitors who manage to win it all — but the rest of the contestants who don’t win don’t make nearly as much from appearing on the show alone.

“That’s the unfortunate situation for a lot of MTV’s favorite cast members is The Challenge doesn’t pay enough for it to be a full-time job,” veteran player Wes Bergmann explained to the Bachelor Party podcast. “And MTV can sit around and say that it does all they want. It doesn’t.”

It seems many competitors are now participating in OnlyFans for some side income. OnlyFans is a site where fans pay to see exclusive adult content from influencers, celebrities, and others who have their own accounts.

It looks like some Challenge competitors are making a killing from the site, too. Kailah Casillas reportedly makes around $25,000 a month thanks to her subscribers.

It looks like Sorbello wants her boyfriend to have some credit for making OnlyFans big for Challenge contestants. AfterBuzz TV posted to YouTube showing Sorbello talking to her Instagram followers about how Calafiore started the popularity of the site. And she mentioned that fellow competitors attacked Calafiore for having an account before making accounts of their own.

“I actually think it’s pretty funny because Paulie was the one that started the OnlyFans thing and got attacked for it,” Sorbello explained via her Instagram Story. “And now, everybody else that was attacking him for it now has one. But, hey — all the power to you. Make that money.”

While Sorbello threw some light shade on other Challenge competitors, it’s clear she’s supportive of the platform overall. We’re interested to see if Sorbello or Calafiore compete on The Challenge in the future as well.
