‘Challenge’ Fans Thought Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio Announced an Engagement to Morgan Willett
The Challenge: Total Madness is over, and Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio has won yet another season of the show. The veteran player took home his seventh win and is undoubtedly celebrating with girlfriend Morgan Willett. Now, many are wondering if Devenanzio will ever tie the knot with Willett, especially after a social media post that contained a number of emoji rings.
Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio and Morgan Willett have a complicated past
Devenanzio is known for his time on reality TV — and so is Morgan Willett. She got her start on MTV with Ex on the Beach, and it was there that it was revealed that she had a history with Survivor and Challenge star Jay Starrett. While Starrett and Willett appeared to have a close relationship on-screen, it was later revealed that Willett may have cheated on Starrett with Devenanzio.
Devenanzio and Willett got close after competing together on The Challenge: War of the Worlds. While she may have still had some entangelments with Starrett back home, it didn’t stop her from getting flirty with Devenanzio. And she owned up to her mistakes.
“Later on, [Starrett] asked me about Johnny and I owned it,” Willett told the Watch With Us podcast. “I was like, ‘You know what, I’ll be real. I’ve been seeing him. This happened,’ blah, blah, blah, and he was fine with it.”

Many fans thought Devenanzio’s relationship with Willett would cause tension between him and Starrett on Total Madness. But it seems Starrett and Devenanzio had an unspoken agreement when it came to how they treated the situation. And now that Devenanzio won the season, we’re sure any discomfort he felt is all water under the bridge.
To commemorate the win, Devenanzio is now selling shirts to his fans. The front of the shirt says “The Challenge” while the back says “Bananas” along with the numeral 7. And the way Devenanzio marketed the shirt caused some confusion.
“Bananas Back,” he captioned his Instagram post of him and Willett wearing the shirts. The caption included seven diamond ring emojis as well. And Willett commented on the post with a heart and kissing face emoji.
Fans thought the couple was announcing an engagement
Devenanzio’s post with all the emoji rings had his fans doing a double-take.
“I thought you were engaged,” one fan commented.
“I almost said congratulations lmao i thought u got engaged.. more like engaged to the game,” another wrote.
“Posting a bunch of rings with @morganleighwillett in the photo,” another noted. “Made us all take a double look.”
Others think it’s time Devenanzio commit to Willett after dangling the carrot with this post.
“PUT a ring on it already!!!” another added.
We’re not sure if Willett and Devenanzio have any long-term plans with their relationship, but it seems fans would love for these two to tie the knot. We’ll have to wait and see if they do decide to say yes to forever with their romance.
