Jill and Derick married in 2014 and have two kids together. Israel was born in 2015 and Sam arrived in 2017. Given that many women in the Duggar family tend to have multiple children in quick succession, the fact that Jill and Derick only have two children hasn’t gone unnoticed by her followers.

Jill had difficult labors with Israel and Sam. She was in labor for nearly three days with her first child before finally having a C-section. Her second child was also born via C-section after 40 horus of labor. Since then, fans have speculated that she may not be able to have more children or that doctors have advised her not to get pregant again for health reasons.

Jill Duggar says she’s open to having more kids

In Jill and Derick’s latest Q&A, the couple addressed whether they would have more children. Both said they were open to the possibility.

“Yes, and it depends,” Derick said after Jill read a question from a fan who wanted to know if they wanted another kid.

“We would love more kids if God chooses to give us more,” Jill added. They did not discuss whether Jill was able to get pregnant, but both mentioned they were interested in considering adoption.

“Derick’s mom was adopted, so adoption has always had a special place in our heart,” she said. “But we’ll see.”

Jill says it’s unlikely she’ll have as many kids as her parents

Jill Duggar Finally Opens Up About Her Fear of ‘Backlash’ From Her Strict Family

Jill comes from a famously large family, and a few of her siblings have more children than average. Her brother Josh Duggar and his wife Anna Duggar have six children and her sister Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald have three. Josiah and Kendra Duggar have two kids and are pregnant with their third.

Jill might be open to having more children herself, but she made it clear she has no intention of having as many kids as her mom Michelle and dad Jim Bob Duggar.

“How many? I don’t know. I don’t know that we have a number,” Jill said in the video. “Probably not 20 kids.”

However, Jill admitted she doesn’t know what the future holds for her and her husband.

“We’re not going to rule anything out. If God has a run an orphanage or something, then maybe we’d have more than that,” she said, laughing.
