On Mar. 13, screenshots of text messages between Pete Davidson and Kanye West broke the internet. The Saturday Night Live star’s friend Dave Sirus shared the texts in a since-deleted Instagram post. The comedian, who is not on social media, likely gave his friend permission to share the screenshots, as Sirus has posted on Davidson’s behalf in the past.
When the Donda rapper sent a message saying, “Where are you right now?” Davidson replied, “In bed with your wife,” including a shirtless photo of himself in bed, flashing a peace sign and sticking out his tongue.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the tattooed comedian appeared to have some very special new ink in the selfie he sent West. It looked like he had “Kim,” his famous girlfriend’s first name, added to his chest.

On Mar. 16, Kim Kardashian opened up about Pete Davidson branding himself for her on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“The ‘Kim’ one isn’t a tattoo, it’s actually a branding,” she explained. “Because, let me explain it, because he wanted to do something that was really different.” Davidson is known for his long list of famous ex-girlfriends, and Kardashian isn’t the first one he has gotten body art for.
When he dated Ariana Grande, the SNL star got several tattoos to commemorate their love. One was of the singer’s Dangerous Woman era bunny mask, which he inked behind his left ear. After they broke up, he covered the symbol with a black heart. Perhaps he wanted to differentiate his love for Kardashian by getting a brand instead of a tattoo.
The 41-year-old reality star revealed that Davidson has also gotten “a few” tattoos in her honor, and she has a favorite. “My favorite one, it says, ‘My girl is a lawyer,’” Kardashian shared. “And that one’s really cute.”
