Hulu Black Friday Deal 2021: The Best Streaming Bargain of the Year Is Back
Hulu’s Black Friday deal is back. The Disney-owned streaming service is once again offering a massive bargain to new and eligible returning subscribers: 12 months of Hulu for just 99 cents per month.
Hulu brings back a Black Friday bargain for 2021
Even if you aren’t normally a Black Friday deal hunter, you’ll want to take a look at what Hulu’s offering for 2021. The 99-cents per month promotion is the same deal that Hulu offered in 2018. It represents a $72 savings off the normal price for a year of the streamer’s ad-supported plan, which typically costs $6.99 per month. In 2019 and 2020, the deal was 12 months for $2 a month.
The Hulu Black Friday sale started at midnight on Thanksgiving Day. It goes through 11:59 p.m. PT on Cyber Monday (Nov. 29). You can sign up at Hulu.com.
Hulu isn’t the only streaming service offering a big Black Friday discount this year. Starz is slashing the price of a six-month subscription from $43.99 to $20. You can get AMC+ for $1.99 per month for a year rather than the usual price of $8.99 per month. And discovery+ is on sale for 99 cents per month for three months, $4 off the normal price.
Best new original shows to stream on Hulu
Hulu subscribers get access to a deep streaming library, including a long list of Hulu’s acclaimed original series.
That includes new releases such as The Great Season 2, which stars Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult in a heavily fictionalized version of the life of Catherine the Great. Hulu is also home to the 2021 comedy series Only Murders In the Building with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, as well as Nine Perfect Strangers, an adaptation of a book by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty. Subscribers can also stream Dopesick, a Michael Keaton drama that looks at the roots of America’s opioid crisis, and Reservation Dogs, a comedy about a group of Native American teenagers created by Taika Waititi.
Hulu is also the streaming home of original FX series such as What We Do in the Shadows, Snowfall, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Fargo, and American Horror Story. Plus, you can stream new episodes of network shows such Dancing With the Stars, Grey’s Anatomy, The Voice, and Chicago Fire the day after they air.

Looking for something to binge? You can also find every season of many classic shows on Hulu. That includes 15 seasons of E.R., 12 seasons of NYPD Blue, four seasons of The O.C., and 11 seasons of The X-Files. Hulu is also the streaming home of How I Met Your Mother, The Golden Girls, and 30 Rock.
