Cardi B is known for her bold lyrics, unique aesthetic, and energetic performances. But the rapper is also known for feuding with various celebrities, including fellow artists Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, and Azealia Banks

Here are the details of Cardi B’s feuds with all three women and where she stands with each of them today.

Nicki Minaj feud with Cardi B

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have had a long history of fighting with each other, including getting into a physical altercation during New York Fashion Week in September 2018. Cardi B threw her shoe at Minaj and left barefoot, with a lump over one eye and wearing a torn dress.

Hours after the incident, Cardi B issues a (since-deleted) statement on Instagram that was clearly aimed at Minaj. “I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!!” Cardi B said (per Refinery29). “But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f—ing off!!

“I’ve worked to[sic] hard and come too far to let anybody f— with my success!!!! B—-es talk all that s— in they raps but in real life they pussy!! This shit really is for entertainment!!”

Before the incident, both women had said in interviews that any drama between them was made up by fans looking for entertainment. But on the night of their physical fight, Cardi B was allegedly responding to Minaj liking negative tweets about her partner, Offset, and their daughter, Kulture

The women exchanged more barbs on social media and in interviews after their altercation. It’s unclear where they stand now, but they haven’t made up publicly. There have been rumors of a musical collaboration between the two to announce the end of their years-long feud.

Cardi B and Doja Cat feud

Doja Cat’s feud with Cardi B started in August 2020 when the “Say So” singer did an Instagram Live showing herself rapping along to Cardi B’s song “Press.” The way Doja Cat sang made it sound like she was mocking the “WAP” rapper

Cardi B was unimpressed by the impersonation, and she responded in a since-deleted tweet that said (per Nicki Swift), “Do anything for clout … Moo.” The insult was likely a reference to Doja Cat’s viral video, “Mooo!”

Doja Cat later said she hadn’t meant to insult the “I Like It” rapper; she was simply buzzing on caffeine when she posted the goofy video. She also said that she had spoken to Cardi B about the video, and they had squashed any beef.

“I spoke to Cardi, and she was really sweet and understanding,” Doja Cat said (via Complex). “She’s a smart woman, and I feel like she probably makes fun of her friends and other celebrities. That’s just something you do when you’re either hopped up on caffeine or lit.”

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper had beef with Azealia Banks

The beef between Azealia Banks and Cardi B started in 2017 when the “212” rapper accused Cardi B of using a ghostwriter to create her song “Bodak Yellow.” Banks even referred to Cardi B as a “poor man’s Nicki Minaj.”

In May 2018, Banks took the feud a step further when she made some more nasty comments about Cardi B in an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“Maybe two years ago, the conversation surrounding black women’s culture was reaching an all-time high,” Banks said. “We were discussing our power amongst ourselves. Beyoncé came out with ‘Lemonade,’ and there was a really intelligent conversation going on nationally. And then, everything just kind of changed, and then it was, like, Cardi B.”

Banks, who has been involved in many celebrity feuds, went on to insult Cardi B’s grammar and call her a “caricature of a black woman.”

“I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with,” the “Ice Princess” rapper said. “If my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, you’d just be ragging on her all day.”

Cardi B defended herself in a lengthy Instagram post before temporarily deleting her account and setting her Twitter to private.

She tweeted, “I’m tired of the bullshit. I need to enjoy my pregnancy, family, new projects, and my partner. Listen to Invasion of privacy.”
