How did Billie Eilish become famous?

Billie Eilish was born in 2001, the daughter of Irish-Scottish entertainers. She caught the songwriting bug early and by age 11 was writing down song lyrics on a notepad. She has a very close bond with her older brother Finneas O’Connell, who was already singing and performing with his band by the time Eilish started to get interested in a career as a musician.

In late 2015, Eilish released the single “Ocean Eyes,” which was originally written by her brother. The official music video was released in 2016 and immediately became a smash hit, going platinum by November of that year.

Over the next year and a half, Eilish would release several more singles and eventually her debut EP, called “Don’t Smile at Me.” Eilish was a certified star and fans clamored for a tour. Eilish was happy to oblige, and her early 2018 “Where’s My Mind” tour brought her even more accolades and attention. 

Billie Eilish’s latest album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” was released in March 2019. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, making Eilish the first entertainer born in the 2000s to have a number one record in the United States.

Is Billie Eilish vegan?

Billie Eilish recently revealed that she is one hundred percent vegan, and follows a clean diet. She admitted in the interview that she loves spicy foods and when she is overly stressed from being on the road, instead of heading out to the club, she goes straight to the kitchen.

Eilish claimed that baking is therapeutic for her, with her go-to dessert being peanut-butter chocolate chip cookies. The main tenet of the vegan diet is avoiding foods that are derived from animals. Most vegans eat a lot of plant-based foods like vegetables and beans, although many people tend to pick and choose parts of the diet that work best for them and incorporate those into their everyday routine.

Eilish made the switch to a vegan diet in 2014 and said that the main reason she went vegan is that she wanted to reduce her impact on the environment and be kinder to animals. Eilish’s all-time favorite vegan food is burritos, and she admitted that she eats a lot of them.
