Jennifer Aniston was born in 1969, raised by two heavyweights in the entertainment industry, John Aniston and Nancy Dow. Aniston knew from an early age that she wanted to follow her parents into the entertainment business, and by the late ’80s, she had begun working in television and film. Still, Aniston struggled to find her footing, and in spite of some relatively high-profile roles, in movies like 1993’s Leprechaun, it would be years before Aniston got her big break.

That big break came in the form of the TV show Friends. Aniston was cast as Rachel Green, and when the series debuted on television in 1994, Aniston was launched to fame. She continued to appear on Friends until it went off the air in 2004, by which time she was a Hollywood superstar.

In addition to her work in television, Aniston has appeared in such big-budget films as Bruce Almighty, Just Go with It, Marley & Me, The Break-Up, and Office Space

Jennifer Aniston is a dog lover

Jennifer Aniston has become nearly as famous for her lifestyle and personality as she has for her work in entertainment. Aniston is a fitness devotee, with an affinity for yoga and cardio, and is notorious for looking fabulous at any age.

She likes to eat clean, and lives a low-key life – at least, when she’s not strutting her stuff on the red carpet. Aniston also loves animals and over the years, has welcomed a number of furry friends to her wolf pack at home.

For years, Aniston took her dog, Norman, with her everywhere. Norman, a Welsh Corgi mix, lived to a ripe old age, passing away in 2011 at the age of fifteen. Aniston also used to have a white German Shepherd named Dolly, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Justin Theroux.

Dolly passed away in 2019. These days, Aniston reportedly shares her home with a Pitbull mix named Sophie and a Schnauzer mix named Clyde. Recently, the actress added to her furry family yet again when she brought home a sweet rescue puppy.

On October 11th, Jennifer Aniston took to Instagram to share a video of her adorable new rescue puppy, a little lab mix named Lord Chesterfield. Aniston’s video revealed a sleepy puppy who had clearly fallen asleep with a toy bone in his mouth.

In her Instagram post, Aniston stated “I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of our family …. this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield. He stole my heart immediately. A HUGE thank you to @wagmorpets for the incredible work you do. Grateful you take such great care of these rescues and find them their forever homes.”

For Aniston, who clearly loves animals, Lord Chesterfield will likely not be the last addition to her home. The actress has shown her commitment to animal adoption over the years, always encouraging her celebrity friends to “adopt, don’t shop.” Lord Chesterfield might not realize it yet, but he has hit the jackpot of owners.
