Jennifer Aniston is a fan-favorite actor who has been in show business for over three decades. Born into a show business family, Aniston is now one of the world’s highest-paid actors.

While most know Aniston for her work in television, she’s also appeared in many popular movies as well, including Marley & Me and He’s Just Not That Into You. As popular as her acting work is, Aniston is equally well known for her personal life, and for her relationships with various Hollywood celebs.

Through all the ups and downs, Aniston has played things close to the vest, keeping mostly to herself. But she doesn’t hesitate to shut down ridiculous rumors and recently, the actor was forced to directly confront one of the most pervasive rumors about her private life.

What is actress Jennifer Aniston best known for?

Aniston’s parents are actor John Aniston and actor Nancy Dow. While her Hollywood pedigree meant that Jennifer Aniston was naturally drawn to a career in entertainment, her own career did not take off quickly, and she had to work for years to establish herself as a popular performer.

In the late ’80s and early ’90s, Aniston appeared in a number of small roles in movies, including a part in the laughably bad 1993 horror film The Leprechaun.

In 1994, Aniston was cast in the TV show Friends, a series that quickly became popular with fans and made Aniston a star. The actor embraced her role as Rachel Green and used the clout that she earned from starring in the show to make interesting artistic choices, appearing in movies such as Office Space, The Good Girl, Bruce Almighty, and Cake.

In the years since Friends ended its long television run, Aniston has remained a major star, with one of her most recent projects being the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show

Almost as quickly as she became a major star, Aniston began dating some fellow A-listers. Her romance with Brad Pitt, which began in 1998, culminated in a super-secret wedding in 2000. The two, known as Hollywood’s “golden couple” were married for five years, until announcing their divorce in early 2005.

Aniston went on to date several other entertainers after her divorce from Pitt, including Vince Vaughn and John Mayer. In 2012, Aniston got engaged to actor Justin Theroux, and after a three-year engagement, they tied the knot in 2015. However, that marriage did not last, and in 2017, Aniston and Theroux announced their separation.

While Aniston has been married a few times, the actress has never had children. Media reports have run rampant about the reasons for the actor’s childless status, prompting Aniston herself to open up a few times about how offensive she finds the speculation: “The misconceptions are: ‘Jen can’t keep a man’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions.”

The rumors haven’t gone anywhere, unfortunately. In recent weeks, a new rumor has emerged, one that claims Aniston is in the process of adopting a child and announced the adoption to all of her friends and co-stars.

In an unprecedented move, Aniston’s representative actually spoke out on the rumor in early April 2021, claiming that “the story is a fabrication” and that Aniston is not adopting a child. Clearly, Aniston is tired of the reckless speculation and has every intention of living her life on her own terms.
