As expected, The Bachelorette 2020 is off to a dramatic start. In the Oct. 13 premiere, Bachelor Nation viewers met 31 men vying for Clare Crawley’s heart, including boy band manager Kenny Braasch, who made it through to the second week. So who is Kenny from The Bachelorette Season 16? Here’s what we know about the contestant so far.
Who is Kenny Braasch from Clare Crawley’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’?
According to Kenny’s Bachelorette profile on ABC, the 39-year-old Chicagoan is a talent buyer who “creates and manages boy band cover bands.” Now, Kenny may not be the genius behind, say, BTS. However, the reality star’s website reveals he manages The Boy Band Night, The Hair Band Night, The Ron Burgundys, The Country Night, Motown Nation, and American Pie.
Aside from being a talent buyer, Kenny is also a model. He was even the face of The Joker in Mortal Kombat 11. Meanwhile, Kenny’s Bachelorette bio says he’s put his career before relationships in the past. However, he’s looking for a change with Crawley.
“As he inches closer to the big 4-0, Kenny is tired of having ‘No Strings Attached’ and is ready for someone to join him on this journey he calls life,” the profile reads. “For Kenny, looks and personality are equal in priority and he’s hoping for a girl with both. He wants a woman who is not controlling, fake, or wrongly opinionated.”
Chris Harrison says he saw ‘a lot’ of Kenny on ‘The Bachelorette’
Kenny’s Bachelorette bio hinted the Chicago native doesn’t make the best first impression, as he’s “often misjudged” by people who look at him on a surface level. But his “sensitive and caring” side came out during The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere, as he met Crawley wearing a shirt with the lead’s dogs.
Meanwhile, Chris Harrison commented on Kenny’s looks while introducing Crawley’s cast to Bachelor Nation in September.
“He very much looks the part. He’s a good looking dude,” Harrison said at the time. “Yeah, he’s one of the older guys in the house, 39. But definitely plays you. He comes off very young.”
The host also hinted Kenny bares it all on The Bachelorette, which may not come as a surprise considering the “revealing game of dodgeball” coming up in the second episode.
“I don’t know how to say this without it being too awkward,” Harrison said. “But I saw a lot of Kenny. We all saw a lot of Kenny. Things that I will not unsee… And I can tell you, well, he’s a good looking dude and he has no tan lines. Anywhere. At all. I don’t know how you explain that, but I guess it’s easy to explain. So that’s Kenny. So let’s move on because I haven’t slept since.”
Whatever happens to Kenny on The Bachelorette Season 16, it certainly seems the contestant will have an interesting ride. But don’t take our word for it. In an Instagram post published before the premiere, Kenny teased what to expect from Crawley’s season.
“DRAMA,” Kenny wrote on Instagram. “Most Dramatic Season Ever is an understatement.”
