If you were one of those parents whose kids watched Disney’s Hannah Montana back in the day, then chances are good that you watched along with them.

And if you did, you might have blinked and missed a cameo appearance by Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David. Here’s what you missed.

The time Miley Cyrus reminded everyone that Larry David was on ‘Hannah Montana’

A few years ago – before the world stopped all normalcy – the former Disney star was about to appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live with guest host, Larry David.

But before their show, the “Wrecking Ball” singer went way back to a seemingly far away galaxy. Back to when she was Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel, and David and his daughters, Cazzie and Romy, made a cameo appearance on an episode of the popular tween and teen show.

In the clip, Larry David and his daughters have been waiting over an hour to be seated at a very busy, very popular restaurant. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus arrives with her sidekick, Lola Luftnagle/Emily Osment, ostentatiously greets the server, and is immediately seated.

David can’t believe what he’s seeing and argues and complains, in classic Larry David style. His daughter, Cazzie, educates the server, “He’s Larry David…? He created Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm…?”

The server is unimpressed and David’s younger daughter, Romy, tells her father, “Face it, Dad. She’s bigger than you.”

Larry David and Miley Cyrus were on ‘SNL’

The two completely different entertainers appeared on the late-night show together in 2017.

Leading up to their appearance, David and Cyrus had a little fun with viewers, taping a promo for the show in which the 72-year-old actor is on an elevator and, of course, the grumpy comedian would rather not ride with the “Party in the U.S.A.” singer.

In the clip, the two run into one another at an elevator bank and realize they’re both appearing on Saturday Night Live together. All is well until two elevators open up.

Instead of sharing one, David stays true to his character and decides to ride alone.

“Larry, where are you going? We can just ride up together, we’re going to the same place,” Cyrus asks.

“It’s not necessary,” David says. “I’ll go up alone, and I’ll see you upstairs. I like a private ride. Who gets an elevator all to themselves? It’s a fantastic thing!”

Cazzie David is an artist in her own right

All these years later, David’s daughter, Cazzie, has followed in her father’s footsteps and is making it in the world of comedy writing.

The social media star of 86ed, who dated comedian Pete Davidson for about two years, announced in 2019 that she was co-writing with her creative partner Elisa Kalani, and would be starring in an Amazon Studios comedy, Half-Empty. No official air date has been announced for the show.

She’s also an up-and-coming author, with a collection of humor essays, No One Asked For This, planned for publication in Nov. 2020.
