Comic books provide fans with a chance to create their own imaginations for their favorite heroes and villains. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has provided its fans with its fair share of characters to adore and root for. In this morally complex slew of characters, Loki is the clear standout.

He might be all that’s bad with the universe, but he is good at what he does, and that is deception and mischief. Throughout the MCU’s timeline, fans have gotten to see their favorite heroes power up and become better versions of themselves. It seems fans are rooting for the Asgardian to have his powerup moment in the new Disney+ series.

Loki has pretended to die numerous times in the past only for him to appear as himself, much to everyone’s dismay. However, in Avengers: Infinity War, even Thor himself thinks Loki might have died for real this time. Loki’s fate is pretty regrettable as he risked his life to protect the universe from Thanos in Infinity War.

However, the Asgardian’s fans have yet another chance to see their favorite villain in the new Disney and Marvel partnership. MCU fans will recall that Loki appeared in Avengers: Endgame after the heroes went back in time to after the Battle of New York in the Avengers.

Loki got the Tesseract, one of the Infinity Stones, and teleported to an unknown location. The new Disney+ series picks up Loki’s story after his teleportation in 2012’s Avengers and follows the villain as he engages in various schemes.

The actor who plays Loki, Tom Hiddleston, acknowledged that the series director Kevin Feige was generous enough to share the show’s plan, which he can’t speak on. The revelation had many fans wondering if the storyline would involve time travel.

An early synopsis of the series suggested that the God of Mischief would appear throughout human history as a significant influencer on historical events. The show is supposedly meant to center around Loki’s struggle with identity. Reports suggest that Disney has already renewed the show for a second season, even before the first one premieres.

Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role for the show

Throughout the MCU’s entire run and timeline, fans have only known one Loki, actor Tom Hiddleston. Hiddleston has brought Loki to life since 2011’s Thor and has appeared in other MCU shows. After teleporting himself into a new show, fans believe that the new show’s storyline will likely involve a Kid Loki or Lady Loki.

Although the studios have been economical with the show’s details, one thing is for sure. Hiddleston will be returning to play Loki. Some behind-the-scenes photos have already proven that the actor will be featuring in his own series to continue Loki’s story.

There was a possibility that Loki would have to sit Thor: Love and Thunder out, and the villain’s massive fan base wasn’t having any of it. Some fans argued that Loki was as much a centerpiece for the Thor movies as Thor himself. Others stated that the God of Mischief had essentially carried the films.

In every MCU film, fans get to see their superheroes get their star power moment. In Thor: Ragnarök, viewers watched as the God of Thunder summoned his inner strength to defeat his evil sister’s army. Now fans want Loki to have the exact superhero moment.

One fan on Reddit asked if Loki had used his powers in the trailer, and another fan replied, “Seems like it. I hope they finally expand on his power set, since it’s much larger in the comic. IIRC he was even the Sorcerer Supreme for a while. Thor and Wanda got their power up moments, hopefully Loki gets his too”.
