All eyes were on Henry and Christina as they tied the knot on Married at First Sight. The 35-year-old clinical recruiter and 30-year-old flight attendant said “I do,” during the July 29 episode, thus kicking off the eight-week matchmaking experiment. But not everyone in their lives is on board with the idea of getting hitched to a stranger.

After Henry and Christina exchanged vows, his friends grilled the bride on why she’d agree to wed someone she’d never met. One of those skeptical friends looked pretty familiar to viewers, who quickly realized she’d appeared on a couple of MTV shows.

The socially awkward Henry’s friends are definitely looking out for him, as was made clear during the wedding reception. Several of his gal pals cornered his bride after the ceremony and made it clear they were watching out for him and that they weren’t big believers in the MAFS process.

One of those friends was Trishelle Cannatella, who viewers may recognize from The Real World: Las Vegas. She and Henry became friends after they went on a date, and though they didn’t click romantically, a platonic relationship blossomed.

Trishelle also appeared on ‘The Surreal Life’ and ‘The Challenge’

Trishelle made her TV debut in 2002, when she was a housemate on The Real World’s Las Vegas season. She returned to Vegas in 2007 for Reunited: The Real World Las Vegas. The Louisiana native’s other MTV appearances include Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet and The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons, and The Challenge: Rivals II.

Trishelle was also on season 2 of The Surreal Life, along with rapper Vanilla Ice, former televangelist Tammy Faye Messner, and porn star Ron Jeremy. In 2006, she was a contestant on Fear Factor. She’s also tried her hand at acting, appearing in an episode of Criminal Minds in 2006, the TV movie The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, and a 2008 film titled Ninja Cheerleaders.

Like Henry’s friends, MAFS viewers aren’t sure what to make of his being matched with Christina. Things definitely seemed to get off to a rocky start for the New Orleans couple. Henry clearly seems a bit uncomfortable with the whole process, while Christina initially had trouble remembering her new husband’s first name.

Fans who commented on a post from the Lifetime show’s official Instagram account felt the experts had made a mistake in putting the two together.

“Henry and Christina’s wedding is the most awkward, stiff wedding I’ve seen in a minute! Wow. Painful,” one wrote. Several thought the bride had a bad attitude, while others were put off by Henry’s struggle to make eye contact at the altar. A few thought she would have been a better match for Brett, another groom from this season, and said he should have been paired with Olivia, Brett’s bride.

“I think the experts got the pairings wrong this season for sure!” one commented.

Married at First Sight airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Lifetime.
