Chris and Alyssa’s honeymoon from hell continued on the latest episode of Married at First Sight. The Boston couple has only been married for a few days, but their relationship has somehow gone from bad to worse. In the Feb. 2 episode of the Lifetime reality show, Alyssa was in tears after spending time with her husband, who doesn’t meet her very specific criteria for what she wants in a spouse.

Chris and Alyssa clash – again – on ‘Married at First Sight’

After a dismal start to their vacation, things didn’t improve for Alyssa and Chris in this week’s episode of Married at First Sight. That wasn’t for lack of trying on the part of Chris.

“I still think there’s a chance,” he said after waking up alone after their first day in Puerto Rico.

At first, the two were able to be somewhat cordial to each other. They went stand-up paddle-boarding together and later talked on the beach. Chris told Alyssa he thought she was a cool person and apologized if he hadn’t made that obvious from the start. She thanked him, but also made it clear she thought their marriage was doomed.

“The experts didn’t do this right,” she said.

In a confessional, Alyssa said she couldn’t understand how the Married at First Sight experts had paired her with Chris.

“I wonder why this happened to me and how this happened to me,” she said. “Why me?”

Meanwhile, Chris thought his wife shut down whenever anyone didn’t see eye-to-eye with her.

“I think that she views disagreement, often, as disrespect,” he said.

Chris doesn’t match the man Alyssa’s psychic said she would marry

As Alyssa and Chris chatted on the beach, she shared a little more information about who she hoped the Married at First Sight experts would match her with. It turns out, she has some very specific criteria.

“I went and saw a psychic,” she said. At first, Chris seemed to think she was joking, but Alyssa explained that she took the psychic seriously. That included her prediction that Alyssa’s soulmate would have “very pretty eyes” and “an eagle tattoo.”

Chris doesn’t have an eagle tattoo. And his appearance doesn’t appeal to Alyssa in other ways.

“I don’t think Chris is my type physically and I think that that’s OK to say,” Alyssa said.

Alyssa has been married to Chris for less than a week. But she already seems ready to call it quits on the relationship.

“I have literally been the nicest person to literally everyone,” she said to a producer after a tense phone call with her mother. Once again, she expressed her feeling that she’d gotten the short end of the stick when it came to her match.

“Everyone else has someone else,” she said tearfully. “I’m not happy.”

A teaser for the Feb. 9 episode suggests Alyssa has reached the end of her rope in her brief marriage.

“I hate him,” she tells one of the show’s crew members. “He’s a f*cking *sshole.”

New episodes of Married at First Sight Season 14 air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
