‘Married at First Sight’ Season 14 Decision Day Predictions: Who Gets Divorced?
Decision Day for Married at First Sight Season 14 is almost here (finally). After eight weeks of marriage, the remaining couples will soon make a choice about whether to stay together or get divorced. It’s been a rocky two months for all of this season’s participants, with one couple having already pulled the plug on their relationship.
So, which of the other newlyweds will follow in Chris and Alyssa’s footsteps and go their separate ways, and who will remain married? Fans will find out when the Decision Day episode airs May 11 on Lifetime. In the meantime, here are our predictions for who stays together and who gets divorced.
Chris and Alyssa from ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 14 have already had their Decision Day
Remember Chris and Alyssa? These two were easily Married at First Sight Season 14’s most toxic, mismatched couple. Alyssa was checked out of the marriage almost from the moment she said “I do.” (Chris later said she was on the phone with her lawyer the day after their wedding ceremony.) The Boston real estate agent made a valiant effort to make the relationship work, but he kept hitting a wall with his wife. Shortly after they returned from their honeymoon, Chris announced he wanted divorce.
Steve and Noi
Prediction: Stay together
Of all of Married at First Sight’s Season 14 couples, Steve and Noi seem like the most likely to stay together for the long haul. The pair have good chemistry and appear to genuinely like each other (noodle-gate aside). But there have been some issues in their relationship. Steve is unemployed, which is a huge issue for Noi, who is searching for financial security. Noi also has some concerns about giving up her independence. She’s told Steve she wants to live apart for a while after Decision Day, even if they stay married. For his part, Steven has worried about his wife’s tendency to blast details of their personal life all over social media.
Still, Steve has shown a lot of patience and seems committed to making things work with Noi, as seen by the ring he picked out for her in the April 26 episode. Whether she’s able to get over her concerns about Steve’s ability to provide is a bigger question, but we think these two aren’t prepared to call it quits just yet.
Mark and Lindsay
Prediction: Get divorced
Mark and Lindsay’s marriage has been a rollercoaster. They hit it off right away, but Lindsay’s domineering and aggressive personality soon started causing friction with the more mild-mannered Mark. Lindsay has done a lot to support Mark during some difficult moments in their brief marriage, including the death of this cat and his mom’s health issues. But her abrasive and sometimes rude behavior suggests she doesn’t always respect her husband. He’s had trouble dealing with her mood swings and neediness. In the show’s April 27 episode, both admitted there had been good moments in their relationship. But are those enough to outweigh the bad? We think both Mark and Lindsay will choose to walk away on Decision Day.
Jasmina and Michael
Prediction: Get divorced
Jasmina and Michael have slowly become a fan-favorite couple. The two had trouble getting to know each other at first, with each throwing up walls because of trauma in their pasts. In recent weeks, they’ve started to open up more to each other and have developed a real connection. But that might not be enough to save this marriage. Michael says he wants more than friendship. However, he’s been hesitant to try to add a physical element to their relationship, sensing that Jasmina isn’t ready for that step. Meanwhile, she’s warmed up to Michael, but has said she’s not physically attracted to him. Our prediction? Michael wants to stay married, but Jasmina opts for divorce on Decision Day. Ultimately, these two are likely better off as friends than as husband and wife.
Olajuwon and Katina
Prediction: Stay together
Many Married at First Sight fans haven’t been impressed with the way Olajuwon has treated Katina. From his demands that she step up her cooking game to his concerns about her desire to pursue more education, he tends to offer more criticism than words of love. His jabs have upset Katina in the past, but these two do have an undeniable connection. And despite his faults, Katina seems to really want to build a future with Olajuwon. While it’s anyone’s guess whether this marriage will work long-term, we think Olajuwon and Katina will decide to stay married on Decision Day.
