Marvel fans are raving about Moon Knight following the first episode. The latest installment into the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduces a new character, played by Oscar Isaac, unlike any superhero fans have seen before. Given the success of the Disney+ series after one episode, it’s clear that Moon Knight has a bright future in the MCU. And hopefully, Moon Knight’s future includes a team-up with the Midnight Sons.

Oscar Isaac, whose 'Moon Knight' character is a part of the Midnight Sons, stars in a scene as Steven Grant. Steven wears a gray jacket and has a black bag slung over his shoulder.

Who are the Midnight Sons? Is Moon Knight on the team?

In Marvel Comics, the Midnight Sons are like the Avengers, but the team consists of supernatural heroes, including Moon Knight.

Other group members include Ghost Rider, Punisher, Blade, Werewolf by Night, Doctor Strange, Morbius, Iron Fist, Black Cat, and more. As with other Marvel teams, superheroes filter in and out of the Midnight Sons. The group deals with the supernatural, and their comic books contain horror themes.

While Marvel Studios has not confirmed that they are assembling the Midnight Sons in the MCU, many fans believe that it’s only a matter of time before the team comes together on the big screen.

An Eternals post-credits scene teased Mahershala Ali’s Blade’s introduction into the MCU. As Dane Whitman reaches for the Ebony Blade in the scene, fans hear Blade offscreen ask him, “Are you sure you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?”

Ali is getting his own Blade film, but some think Blade was recruiting Dane as Black Knight for the Midnight Sons in the Eternals scene. Perhaps Blade is the MCU’s next Nick Fury. He could show up at the end of Moon Knight to recruit Oscar Isaac’s character. Plus, Werewolf by Night is getting a Disney+ Halloween special in 2022. So all the signs point to a Midnight Sons team-up in the MCU.

‘Moon Knight’ star Oscar Isaac admits the Midnight Sons in the MCU would be ‘cool’

ComicBook.com interviewed Oscar Isaac on the red carpet for the Moon Knight premiere, and they asked him about the Midnight Sons.

“It’s an amazing amount of comics, and it’s cool,” the actor said. “It would be a cool group to see, wouldn’t it?”

So Isaac wants to see the Midnight Sons in the MCU, possibly including his character, Moon Knight. Unfortunately, he couldn’t give any more details about the superhero group. But fans stand firm in their belief that the Midnight Sons are coming to the MCU.

Oscar Isaac teases his future in the MCU

While speaking with GamesRadar+, Oscar Isaac previewed his future in the MCU after Moon Knight ends. And the Moon Knight star even brought up the Midnight Sons.

When asked about director Mohamed Diab’s statement that Moon Knight could be in the MCU for the next 10 years, Isaac said, “I didn’t look at my contract [laughs]. I mean, I don’t know. For me, it’s such a point of view character that seeing him in something that was a bigger point of view, I don’t know how that character operates in that world.”

The interviewer then questioned if the actor could see an MCU crossover happening. And Isaac replied, “I mean, maybe. Obviously, there’s the Midnight Sons comic book, which is the kind of supernatural Avengers with Blade and Ghost Rider and Punisher. The idea is really interesting. But it would have to be like, is there something interesting to tell about this character in that world?”

Marvel fans might just see a Midnight Sons team-up, including Moon Knight, come to life on the big screen.
