Pregnant Rihanna Says She’s Going to Be a ‘Psycho’ As a Mom

Singer Rihanna and her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, announced her pregnancy to the world by taking a snowy stroll in Harlem, New York. Rihanna let her bare baby bump, adorned with jewels and chains, peek out from her puffy winter coat. The celebrity couple smiled and touched her stomach as they walked together.
Since the first photos of her baby bump came out, The Barbadian singer has posted several glimpses of her pregnancy style on social media.
On Mar. 5, Rihanna shared several photos of herself on Instagram wearing a bright blue jumpsuit with a large cutout on one side of her stomach. She paired the look with matching boots, sunglasses, and a long, hooded coat. “Thicc,” she captioned the pictures.

Since revealing her pregnancy, Rihanna opened up about what type of mother she thinks she will be. In a March 2022 interview with Elle, the singer compared herself to two stars from Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise.
“Heather Dubrow is so chic while being a mom,” Rihanna said, naming a star of RHOC when asked which Housewife she wants to emulate as a mother. “Just love the way that she just allows her kids to be who they are. And that’s really inspiring to me.”
She also named Teresa Giudice from RHONJ as a role model. “But Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids,” Rihanna pointed out. “She will fight for those little girls. She will flatten you about those kids.”
Rihanna claimed she would do “worse” than flipping a table as Giudice did on the show if anyone talked about her children. “And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be,” the singer said. “Psycho about it … you talk about my kids, it’s over.”
The singer plans to have more children soon
Rihanna’s baby with A$AP Rocky will be her first child, and the pregnant singer hopes to have several more children soon. In March 2020, Rihanna told British Vogue that she hopes to have three or four kids by the time she is 42 years old.
When asked where she saw herself in 10 years, Rihanna replied, “Ten years? I’ll be 42! I’ll be ancient.” She added, “I’ll have kids – three or four of ’em.”
She also said that she doesn’t need to be with a partner to have children. “I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong … ’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,” Rihanna described. “But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
