RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 winner Bob The Drag Queen has a YouTube show called Purse First Impressions. She invited weekly guests to appear on the show to review RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Series 2 episodes. Bob has had guests including Aquaria, Laila McQueen, Naomi Smalls, among other big names. She brought her season 8 sister, Thorgy Thor, onto the show. Tia Kofi certainly wasn’t her favorite contestant on the season.

Thorgy Thor criticized ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ Series 2 contestant Tia Kofi

Thorgy regularly criticized Tia’s runway looks on the episodes she guest-starred on. However, Bob expressed how much she adored Tia, even though she recognized that her runway looks weren’t all winners. The fandom also highly enjoyed Tia’s infectious personality on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, especially when it came to her confessionals.

She went on to compare Tia to the clay animated character Gumby. Thorgy referred to the character in reference to Tia’s silhouette not having shape. Bob was laughing at Thorgy’s passionate comments, but there wasn’t an indication of how Tia would take it. Bob suggested that they should do a video call between the three of them, which Thorgy said she’d be open to doing.

Bob surprised Thorgy by suddenly bringing Tia onto the call for Purse First Impressions to discuss RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6. Thorgy reacted with laughter, admitting that she was a bit nervous.

The Drag Race fans reacted to the perceived rivalry, as they have brought it up in person with the queens. “Well, did you listen to me before every single person that I met was like, ‘Did you run into Tia Kofi?”Are you going to fight with Tia Kofi?'” Thorgy stated. “Every single person! They loved us, just because I said that you looked like Gumby.”

Tia said that she also had some exchanges with fans about the topic. “I’ve had a lot of accusations of murder this week,” she joked. “I’m like, ‘Thorgy’s fine. Thorgy is fine. Everybody calm down.'”

Thorgy realized that some of her critiques could be taken harshly. She took the opportunity to apologize, even though she was just being honest. “I apologize if I said anything that hurts your feelings, but I was honest,” Thorgy stated. “I love you and I hope that we can do something live together, and just fight. Just fight on stage (laughs).”

Bob suggested that they should capitalize on the hype around the fictitious drama between Thorgy and Tia. “We have to organize, the next time Thorgy goes back to the UK, you guys have to do a whole tour,” Bob proposed. “It has to be a whole moment. Tia Kofi v. Thorgy. I’ll be referee. We will sell out Clapham Grand.”

Tia had no hard feelings with Thorgy’s commends. “Honestly, I think we’ll have a wonderful time,” Tia stated. “Thorgy, nothing you said offended me. Remember, I was on a season with A’Whora, so nothing can be worse than that.” However, drama based on review show critiques isn’t always just for fun.

The most recent major case of drama was between Bob and season 13 contestant Tamisha Iman. The drama exploded on Twitter, as it also included RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 co-winner Monét X Change and season 10 contestant The Vixen. It transferred to various social media outlets and fans started taking sides.

In the Thorgy and Tia “drama,” commenters expressed that Tia has been a great sport about the whole thing. She could have easily taken offense and fired back, but she went along with it. Rather than viewing it as a negative, she turned it into a positive and engaged with them on Bob’s show. Perhaps that live tour that Bob suggested could happen in the UK sometime.

Until then, Bob recognizes that doing a review show or a podcast about RuPaul’s Drag Race could land her in some drama, but she continues to bring content to the show’s fans around the world.
