Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were elated when Disney released the official trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The video features the return of Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Tim Roth’s Abomination from the MCU, and it previews Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk. But thanks to the Marvel Disney+ series’ synopsis, we know one other MCU hero who will appear.

Marvel released the trailer for the MCU’s ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’

Marvel teased the first look at She-Hulk: Attorney at Law during Disney+ day on Nov. 12, 2021. But on May 17, 2022, Tatiana Maslany and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige shared the show’s first trailer at Disney’s upfront presentation. And MCU fans immediately got excited for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The trailer shows attorney Jennifer Walters going to her cousin, Bruce Banner, for help when she starts experiencing Hulk-like symptoms similar to Bruce’s condition. The last time fans saw Bruce was during a Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings post-credits scene. And before that, we learned that he had merged his Bruce Banner self with the Hulk to create Smart-Hulk in Avengers: Endgame.

Jennifer is a lawyer who specializes in superhuman law, but problems arise when she starts turning into She-Hulk. So Bruce helps her control her powers, although Jennifer insists she doesn’t want to be an Avenger.

The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer also previews the return of Emil Blonsky/Abomination, who last appeared in the MCU’s The Incredible Hulk.

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ synopsis teases the return of an MCU hero

Per ComicBook.com, the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer release also coincided with the reveal of the MCU’s shows synopsis. It reads:

“Directed by Kat Coiro (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9) and Anu Valia (Episodes 5, 6, 7) with Jessica Gao as head writer, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.”

Surprisingly, Wong returns to the MCU in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Fans last saw him in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and before that, he appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Shang-Chi. It’s safe to say that Phase 4 is becoming the Wong show, and we are here for it.

Everything we know about the upcoming Disney+ series

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be the third MCU series to air on Disney+ in 2022. It will consist of nine episodes, which Marvel cut down from the previously announced 10-episode count.

Kevin Feige previously described the series as a legal comedy that would pull inspiration from John Byrne’s She-Hulk comics. It’s unclear if She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is a limited series or if it could earn a season 2 renewal, similar to Loki. However, Feige said that She-Hulk would cross over to the MCU films following the series.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Wednesday, Aug. 17, on Disney+. The show will conclude on Oct. 12.
