The stars of the Squid Game cast never imagined they’d become such huge international sensations seemingly overnight. Now, they get their spot on American late-night TV via The Tonight Show. The four cast members set to appear are Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Jung Ho-yeon, and Wi Ha-joon, according to The Korea Herald.

Lee Jung-jae plays Seong Gi-hun, the protagonist who initially seems like an uncaring father. As Gi-hun continues through the games, fans warm up to him — and they see his caring, compassionate nature right up until the end.

Park Hae-soo plays Jo Sang-woo, the childhood friend of Gi-hun who ends up doing whatever it takes to get to the end.

Jung Ho-yeon plays one of the most compelling players in the series. Her character, Kang Sae-byeok, is from North Korea — and she teams up with Gi-hun to create an unstoppable duo.

Finally, Wi Ha-joon plays the cop who finds out his brother is the frontman for the games.

Will fans get to see the Squid Game cast return for Squid Game Season 2? Right now, director Hwang Dong-hyuk doesn’t have any active plans to make it happen.

“I don’t have well-developed plans for Squid Game 2,” he told Variety. “It is quite tiring just thinking about it. But if I were to do it, I would certainly not do it alone. I’d consider using a writers’ room and would want multiple experienced directors.”

With that said, it seems Netflix might be on board to encourage the production of a second season. And Lee mentioned he’s interested in taking on his character once more.
