Natalie Anderson announces engagement to boyfriend Devin Perez

In a series of posts from her Dec. 2021 Las Vegas vacation, Survivor champ Natalie Anderson announced her engagement to her boyfriend, real estate broker Devin Perez.

The couple has dated since around May 2019, but they don’t post much about their relationship as her content mainly focuses on fitness, and his account mostly features his real estate listings. Judging from the posts that feature him, it’s clear the two share a love of bodybuilding.

In Dec. 2021, the couple went to Las Vegas together, and she shared several photos of their time on Instagram that included a fitness photoshoot and fancy dinners, captioning it, “what happens in Vegas.” One picture featured the CrossFit Coach rocking an engagement ring which drew the attention of her former co-stars and many fans.

Survivor 40 tribemates Michele Fitzgerald, Tyson Apostol, Ethan Zohn, Adam Klein, and Micronesia’s Eliza Orlins congratulated the couple, including The Challenge’s Ashley Mitchell and Tori Deal. Additionally, Big Brother champ Nicole Franzel offered her best wishes.

The two went through a miscarriage during her rookie season of ‘The Challenge’

After finishing as runner-up on Survivor 40, Natalie tried her hand on The Challenge, where she quickly became a shoo-in to make the finals, if not win the competition. However, the New Jersey native exited after four episodes as she discovered a pregnancy.

Once getting home, Natalie miscarried. She opened up about the situation in a Jan. 2021 interview with Us Weekly, admitting she felt a “weird wave” of mixed emotions after discovering the pregnancy as she wanted to continue competing.

Natalie also revealed she had a “hard” time dealing with the miscarriage as she found “peace” with her exit and looked forward to embarking on motherhood. “I just did everything I needed to do to make peace with what had happened and embrace the difficulty of everything, but also use it as a way to strengthen my bond with my boyfriend,” she explained.

Referring to it as a “make or break” moment in her relationship, the reality star noted she has since found solace with the situation and is “proud” of her and her now-fianceé for overcoming it.

She is known for her two appearances on ‘The Amazing Race’ and winning ‘Survivor’

In 2012, New Jersey-based twins Natalie and Nadiya made their reality television debut on CBS’ The Amazing Race 21. Remembered for playing hard and loudly cheering on their “twinnie,” the ladies made it to the penultimate leg, getting eliminated in fourth place.

They became fan-favorites and returned for All-Stars three years later. However, the twins got into an argument that resulted in them becoming the first boots from the season.

Their popularity landed them a spot on Survivor: San Juan del Sur (2014), where they competed on separate tribes. While Nadiya became the first boot again, Natalie’s strategic insight and physical prowess earned her the win.

The champ then returned for Winners at War six years later, without her twin sister for the first time, and finished runner-up. Survivor airs Wednesdays on CBS.
