The Actor Who Reportedly Had a Secret Relationship With Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt’s former romantic relationships — specifically with Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie — were always in the spotlight. Every rumor, every fight, every fake pregnancy, every real pregnancy, and more covered tabloids for years on end. Yet, not all of Pitt’s relationships were front and center when it came to paparazzi.

Though it’s hard to imagine that anyone would want to keep a romantic connection with Brad Pitt a secret — as he remains one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors — someone did. Rumor has it that, following Pitt’s career-catalyzing role in Thelma & Louise, he and Geena Davis went on to engage in a behind-closed-doors romance.

Though Pitt managed to snag the blonde bombshell role in Thelma & Louise, he wasn’t the only actor up for the part; George Clooney was one of the other actors in the running, which would have changed the character’s whole vibe. Yet, after the screen tests, Davis pushed for Pitt. She told Entertainment Weekly: 

“They didn’t ask me afterward what I thought…I said, ‘Do you want to hear what I thought?’ They said, ‘Oh, yes, of course.’ I said, ‘The blond one! Hello?’”

Davis clearly was fond for Pitt – likely due to his talent alone (and maybe in some part due to his Hollywood good looks and charm). She told James Corden that, when Pitt did his screen test, she began to forget her lines.

In the movie, the two boast some strong on-screen chemistry and a memorable sex scene that ends with Pitt’s character conning her out of the money she had. Yet, their relationship reportedly didn’t end after the film. 

Jason Priestley says Brad Pitt used to sneak out to meet up with Davis 

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Brad Pitt was “just a random dude asleep in Priestley’s bed when they first met.” Priestly (who would go on to star in Beverly Hills, 90210) and Pitt were aspiring young actors around the same time, and they crossed paths early in their careers. They went on to become good friends.

Priestley recalls that he, Pitt, and their other friends at the time were all broke. Yet, he also recalls Pitt “sneaking off” to visit his secret girlfriend, Geena Davis, after filming wrapped on Thelma & Louise. According to Priestley, Davis refused to visit Pitt’s “frat-like” dwelling in West Hollywood. 

Reports indicate that Davis was the one who wanted to ensure the meet-ups were kept secret, which, given society’s fascination with Hollywood couples, should come as no surprise. 

Davis likely wanted to stay out of tabloids, and also avoid all the talk that would have presumably surfaced regarding their age difference. Davis is 8 years older than Pitt, and Hollywood seems to boast a double-standard when it comes to age differences when the woman is older…
