Here’s what we know, as well as a look toward the future with the show.

The cast of The Challenge: All Stars features MTV’s The Challenge favorites from years past. Mark Long was the one to pitch the idea, and so far, he’s doing quite well. At 49 years old, he’s proving age is just a number, as he recently dominated a physical elimination against Laterrian Wallace. Prior to All Stars, Mark didn’t compete since 2012.

“I thought T.J. [Lavin] might take it easy on us and some of these things wouldn’t be as extreme,” he told the Watch With Us: Challenge Edition podcast, via Us Weekly. “Well, let me tell you, just starting from the first challenge alone, I was like, ‘This is real!’ This isn’t B-list challenges. This is A-plus, and it’s hard. It’s physical. It’s mental. Everyone was like, ‘Oh crap, what did I sign up for?’”

So far, Arissa Hill, Katie Doyle, Teck Holmes, Laterrian, Ace Amerson, Beth Stolarczyk, Trishelle Cannatella, and Syrus Yarbrough have all gone home.

Jisela Delgado, Kellyanne Judd, Jonna Mannion, Jemmye Carroll, Aneesa Ferreira, Kendal Sheppard, Yes Duffy, Alton Williams, Nehemiah Clark, Mark, Derrick Kosinski, Darrell Taylor, Eric Banks, and Ruthie Alcaide are still competing for the big win.

When does ‘The Challenge: All Stars’ air? How many episodes is the first season?

So, how many episodes is The Challenge: All Stars? In total, the season is only nine episodes. Episode 6 aired on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. If the schedule stays the course, the final episode will air on May 26, 2021. Then, a reunion episode is likely to come after.

We’re not sure what’s in store for the rest of the season, but we’re sure MTV’s The Challenge fans are loving the elimination twist. Now, competitors who enter the elimination arena have to compete with a partner of the opposite gender. This puts both competitors at risk of getting sent home.

The preview for episode 7 has host T.J. giving some indicators the final is imminent, too. “This is the last arena,” T.J. says, “which means you’re going straight to the final.” With this in mind, there could be a two-part final starting on episode 8.

Will there be a season 2?

Will MTV’s The Challenge fans keep the spirit of All Stars alive with future seasons? Mark certainly wants to see the show continue, and he spoke to E! News regarding his ultimate plan.

“We do many seasons of the OG, many seven or eight seasons and then what you have is the most epic OG vs. new school Challenge,” Mark shared. “It’s the Super Bowl of Challenges. It’s me against Fessy [Shafaat] in a f*cking Hall Brawl. It’s the ultimate Challenge that people will lose their minds over.”

It looks like T.J. is up for another season as well. “I said, ‘T.J., I’ll see you in season 2,’ and he said, ‘You f*cking better,'” Mark added. “I mean, everyone, even T.J. is hyped. He does so many, it was probably a breath of fresh air for him, too.”

We can’t wait to see how The Challenge: All Stars Season 1 ends.
