‘The Challenge’: Reunion Clip Appears to Show Nelson Criticizing Amber B. for Not Calling Him
MTV’s The Challenge: Double Agents is officially over, and CT Tamburello and Amber Borzotra took home the win. The team worked hard to make it to the end, and they’re now joined by their fellow competitors on stage for the reunion special. It looks like there could be some trouble for Amber and Nelson Thomas, though, as Nelson might call Amber out for not calling him.
When is ‘The Challenge’ reunion airing? Footage promises plenty of drama
MTV’s The Challenge Season 36 reunion is sure to bring plenty of drama to the table. This season, we saw the breakdown of friendships and seemingly strong alliances. And it looks like Fessy Shafaat will be a major focus.
Fessy is one of the biggest physical threats in the competition, but many of his fellow competitors complained about being his partner during the season. While he ran the final with Kaycee Clark, Kaycee hurt her knee during the final. This caused Fessy to give up early during the eating portion of the final, as he assumed winning was impossible with Kaycee’s injury.
Fessy’s competitors will certainly bring this up during the reunion. A clip on MTV’s The Challenge Instagram seems to show Aneesa Ferreira calling Fessy a “horrible partner.” And Fessy tells another competitor — possibly Aneesa — that they “suck” at the game.
Aside from Fessy, we’re looking forward to the other finalists talking about their experience. Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett, a fan-favorite couple, will certainly talk about their time running the final on separate teams.
Part one of the reunion special airs on Wednesday, April 28, at 8 p.m. EST only on MTV.
Nelson Thomas appears to call out Amber Borzotra during the reunion
It looks like Nelson and Amber B. might get into it during the MTV’s The Challenge reunion, too. While Nelson isn’t at the reunion in person, he appears virtually to talk to the rest of the cast. And it looks like he addresses Amber in the clip shown after the Double Agents finale.
“You didn’t have the balls to pick up the phone and even call me,” Nelson says in the reunion clip preview. To that, Amber shakes her head as if she’s annoyed by what Nelson’s saying.
There’s no confirmation Nelson is actually talking to Amber — and he could be addressing another cast member entirely. But it seems the two have history. They sparked dating rumors after reportedly vacationing together in Turks and Caicos in February 2021. And a video clip of them on Twitter shows them ultra-comfortable with each other.
We’re hoping rumors are either confirmed or put to rest by whatever goes down on the reunion.
MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ reunion also promises drama between Fessy and Tori
While fans and cast members alike will probably drag Fessy on MTV’s The Challenge: Double Agents reunion, his rumored romance with Tori Deal will also get addressed. The Challenge Facebook posted a clip showing the host asking Tori and Fessy about what went down between them this season. Additionally, the host has photos of the two competitors hanging out after the season ended.
“She’s just a very dope girl, that’s what I was trying to say,” Fessy shares in the clip. “There’s a lot of pretty females in the house. But, me and her, just kind of vibed out.”
“Obviously, we connected and we were really cool,” Tori responded. “But I didn’t know he was attracted to me until he called me beautiful in the igloo one night. He was drunk. It really wasn’t a big deal, it was super low key.”
We’re excited to learn more about Tori and Fessy as well as Nelson and Amber B. on the season reunion.
