‘The Challenge’ Season 37: Josh Martinez Said Amanda Garcia Made Controversial Moves ‘for Ratings’: ‘She Thrives in Chaos’
Fans of MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 are devastated that Josh Martinez is out of the game. Josh is one of the most beloved veteran players on the show, but he made a few mistakes along the way in Spies, Lies, and Allies. Recently, Josh sat down with Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio and talked about a conversation he had with Amanda Garcia. Plus, he revealed how she plays her game and what she thinks of the show.

‘The Challenge’ Season 37 spoilers: Josh Martinez was eliminated by Kyle Christie in episode 15
The Challenge Season 37 spoilers from Reddit noted Josh Martinez and Kyle Christie would go head to head. And while Josh was certainly the favorite to win, Kyle sent him packing after a grueling elimination round in The Challenge Season 37 Episode 15.
So, how did Josh end up in The Lair to compete against Kyle? Prior to episode 15, Amanda Garcia won an elimination and switched from the Ruby Cell to the Emerald Cell, taking Tori Deal’s place. A private conversation between Amanda and Josh revealed Josh telling Amanda that if she was going to switch into the Emerald Cell, taking Tori’s spot was her best bet. Amanda later used this invitation against Josh, though, causing a rift between Josh and Tori.
In episode 15, the Sapphire Cell won the daily challenge, and Kyle became the house vote for elimination. Kyle felt he had a good chance of beating Josh in an elimination, thus he called him down. Unfortunately for Josh, Kyle predicted correctly.
Josh Martinez said Amanda Garcia made her controversial moves for good TV
Josh Martinez spoke to Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio on the Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast about The Challenge Season 37 spoilers. During his interview, he discussed the conversation with Amanda that helped turn Tori away from the Emerald Cell once she was switched over to the Ruby Cell.
“So, obviously, they could only show so much, and they edit it to make it look like I’m like, ‘Well, then, take Tori’s spot,'” Josh explained. “I was defending Tori’s spot. No matter what I said, I could’ve told Amanda, ‘I’m giving you $10,000,’ she was going to pick Tori’s spot.”
“Amanda, I love her to death, but she thrives in chaos,” Josh added. “She thinks about what’s gonna make [good TV.] She knows what makes good TV! Amanda is there to make good TV. She walks around the house like … ‘We’re doing this for ratings, we’re making a TV show.'”
Does Amanda Garcia become ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 winner?
Does Amanda Garcia’s chaotic game bring all the way to the final so she can become The Challenge Season 37 winner for the women? Unfortunately, she doesn’t make it to the final at all. According to The Challenge Season 37 spoilers posted to Reddit, Amanda and Tori enter an elimination right before the final, and Tori wins.
Will we see Josh or Amanda in the future? We’re certain we’ll see Josh again, but Amanda noted she doesn’t know if she’ll return to the show. A Reddit thread detailed everything Amanda said on Instagram Live, and she mentioned she’s not sure if she’ll come back for another season due to everything going on in her personal life.
