MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 reunion is finally here, and fans can see their favorite cast members from the show rehash strategies, beef, and everything that went down during Spies, Lies, and Allies. Those watching season 37 know production disqualified Ashley Mitchell, a well-known veteran player. Did she attend the reunion?
Why did Ashley Mitchell get kicked off ‘The Challenge’ Season 37?
Ashley Mitchell is known for her authenticity, but it seems the brash side of her personality came through during The Challenge Season 37. Host TJ Lavin announced her disqualification to the rest of the competitors without further explanation. Later, spoiler accounts and the cast revealed Ashley got into a confrontation with Josh Martinez that sent her home.
So, why did Ashley Mitchelle get kicked off The Challenge? “I was told it was bad,” a spoiler account posted, according to Reddit. “[I don’t know] the exact verbatim that she used so I can’t say if I agree or disagree. All that I know is that it went too far and he was left crying over whatever she told him. It was bad and he cried. Nany [González] and others found it offensive and felt she crossed the line.”
Josh later said he asked production not to disqualify Ashley for what occurred, but production sent her home anyway.
Is Ashley Mitchell at ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 reunion?
is Ashley Mitchell joining MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 reunion? It’s unclear whether she was invited or not given the incident that occurred during the season. But early clips from the show seem to indicate she didn’t attend.
A clip posted by the official Twitter page shows Hughie Maughan defending Amber Borzotra. In the clip, Hughie says most of the veteran players except a few called Amber fake behind her back — and this prompted a strong response from Josh. While the clip only focuses on a few cast members, the camera pans around the room to show who attended the reunion. It seems Ashley isn’t on stage with the rest of the cast.
Ashley isn’t the only one missing, either. Cory Wharton reportedly didn’t go to the reunion due to his coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status. It seems CT Tamburello also didn’t attend despite being The Challenge Season 37 winner for the men.
Will she return as part of ‘The Challenge’ Season 38 cast?
Fans can’t tell whether MTV completely severed ties with Ashley Mitchell after The Challenge Season 37. If she didn’t get disqualified from the season, fans would anticipate seeing her as part of The Challenge Season 38 cast. So far, it’s unclear if she received a callback from the network.
According to Monsters & Critics, spoiler guru PinkRose said callbacks already went out for The Challenge Season 38 cast — and the crew called a ton of potential participants, including veteran players we haven’t seen in a number of seasons. With production allegedly calling a lot of veteran players, there’s a good chance Ashley will get a callback, too.
The Challenge Season 37 reunion airs Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
