Fans can’t wait to hear more information regarding MTV’s The Challenge Season 38. The Challenge Season 37, Spies, Lies, and Allies, featured an ultra-successful all-veteran alliance that dominated the competition for the first half of the season. The season also brought on a ton of new rookie players — and many of them were quite memorable. Now, new rumors suggest production for the next season is asking veteran players who they think should join the cast for the next rookie class.

MTV hasn’t made any official announcements yet about The Challenge Season 38, but spoiler accounts have already begun talking about what’s to come. According to GamerVev, a well-known Challenge spoiler account, casting calls started for the next season.

“Calls for The Challenge 38 have started!” GamerVev posted, Reddit reports.

So, who will join The Challenge Season 38 cast? Fans have their guesses, and it seems GamerVev didn’t give specifics regarding who received calls. But a few players are igniting suspicion that they’ll return. Nany González posted photos to Instagram showing herself on vacation with Aneesa Ferreira, Tori Deal, Kaycee Clark, Devin Walker, and Fessy Shafaat. This could certainly be an alliance in the next season.

Rumors suggest production asked veteran players from ‘Spies, Lies, and Allies’ for rookie recommendations

Who will casting choose to join The Challenge Season 38 cast? According to Reddit, GamerVev tweeted that production is taking advice from veteran players on The Challenge Season 37, Spies, Lies, and Allies. Production allegedly reached out to the vets to ask them who should join the rookie cast for season 38.

Many fans aren’t happy about this news. The Challenge Season 37 received a lot of flack for how well the veterans worked together to eliminate most of the rookies in the first half of the game. If production reaches out to the vets to ask who they want to see enter the competition, this likely means many of those same veterans will join the show once again. Fans could see the game play out the same way in season 38 as it did in season 37.

“Everyone is just going to recommend their friends from their original shows,” a Reddit user commented. “‘I got you casted’ will become actual leverage in the game, and that’s way too much power for your contestants to have.”

“I want to wait to see how it all plays out before complaining,” another fan noted. “Them seeking out recommendations might literally mean them picking one or two recommendations and them venturing elsewhere for the rest of the cast.”

MTV hasn’t announced a release date for The Challenge Season 38. But rumors suggest the season will begin filming in March 2022. Another spoiler guru, PinkRose, posted the rumors.

“[Season] 38 isn’t until March,” PinkRose posted online, according to Reddit. “[A]s of now, nobody is for sure, just availability calls have gone out.”

With filming in March, this could put the release date around late spring or early summer 2022. Fans can expect to hear more information about the season once filming begins.
