Former Three’s Company star Suzanne Somers and producer/entertainer Alan Hamel have been married since 1977. The two are known individually for their respective careers and together for their successful relationship — a rarity in Tinseltown. And, though Somers may be in her ‘70s and Hamel in his ‘80s, they still believe in the importance of an active sex life — and reject the ageist opinions that seek to argue otherwise.

During an interview with DailyMail, Somers discussed her marriage to Alan Hamel, noting that they make love twice a day. She also went on to celebrate PT-141 as an integral ingredient (speaking literally) in their sex lives.

Somers told DailyMail that she and her husband enjoy “shots of PT-141 —” melanocortin-based peptides that increase sexual arousal. She explained how she has responded to the medication, stating:

“I’m kind of in that groove, like when you were younger and you’re in the mood all the time, and so is he, because he’s on hormone replacements…”

Somers and Hamel like the fact that the medication works on stimulating the brain, as opposed to simply causing a physiological response. Suzanne Somers feels “it’s not a drug.”

Somers explained why she’s drawn to PT-141, as opposed to other treatments used to help boost sexual desire. She shared:

Somers and Hamel remain happily married to this day, and it appears that this medication is one of their many secrets to a successful marriage. The two have been extremely attracted to each other for years; Somer explained that she had sex with her now-husband on their first date (just in case there wasn’t another one).
